    Old Harway

Old Harway was the capital city of Tokomo until 1806 when it burend compleatly to the

ground during the great fier and the neigbouring city of New Harway got the title in

1808. Since the two cities has been disputing about the titel and now there has been

made a suggestion to join togeather the two disputing cities so they would form a city

with a population aproximatly 1 200 000. After that Old Harway lost it's title it was

rebuilt and became fastly the leading industrial city in Tokomo but in 1943 the city was

nearly bombed to it's foundations and after the war the

city lost it's industrial titel to Tokomo city that fastly became the biggest city in

Tokomo. Old Harway became after the war a fastly growing commercial center but

soon even that titel went to Tokomo city.

You cities are very good but they could easily be a lot better if you made some changes to add realism.

The huge towers right next to 1 & 2 story buildings is very unrealistic so try and make the change happen more gradually.

I also think the solar power plants in the middle of an urban area isn't realistic.

I also think you could do with having some things like factories around the industrial docks before going into residential.

I hope you don't see my suggestions as too critical but you have the potential to be a great CJer but just seem to be lowering the quality with some newbish mistakes.

    Replies:

Ambassador: Im glad you like my mixture of diffrent styles and the contrasts.

danielcote: Im glad you like the euro style there is also a lot of HK stuff and some American content also.

rewright: Yeah I know but I think there is going to be more mid city parks and plazas in

the futere know when the good costum content is gathering and Im starting to  get a hang

    of parkbuilding.

Mike the Mayor: Im glad you like the contrast between modern and old.

CraigKingOfIreland: Well I have never actually tried to make a realistic cj but when

you mention this one has great potential I wonder if I should. There is going to be a lot

more mid-city parks in the near future now that Im getting a hang of it and I have plans

to place the industrial areas and cargo ports outside the first ringroad surronding my

metropolitan core. I know there are a ton of unrealistic details in my cities but I have got

rid some when I have developed the areas further.

Im very glad to hear some opinnions how I can develop my cities into a better direction

and these kind of suggestions are allways welcome. However I don't find the fishingport

right next to the residentials unusual if you take a look at cities like Helsinki and

    Bergen.

suplado!: Thanks Im glad you like it, it's allways nice to get an comment from you.

The next update will reveal the Northern parts of Old Harway.

    Old Harway

North Old Harway: The northern parts of Old Harway  had allways been a

peaceful place by the side of the Suur-Harju Lake. This part of the city was long

known for it's profitable fishing industry  and many new fishermen did move uppward in

the society by makeing profit by fishing so these parts of the city were one of the more wealty

during that time. The Northern parts of Old Harway where also known for it's beatiful lake

views and attracted rich factory owners from the main city.

However when the city burnt down in the great fire the fishing industry died out by the lake

and moved to the seacoast after that this part off the city remaind for a long time undeveloped

with the exeption of some rich pepoles still attracted by the lake.

After the wartimes the city started to grow in a fast phase and because the main city was

filled with bussines and wealthier pepole this part became the one attracting the low income

pepole but when the downtown started to get full of office towers the economic growth

moved northward where new officebuildings where built and also many residential projects

started make this part of the city grow ever wealthier and with one of the fastest rates in the

    country.

    pohjoisoldharway29may28fn1.jpg

New broad avenues have been built as a result of the fast economic growth and the growing

increasing traffic also some future subwaylines are planned out.

    pohjoisoldharway29may28cx0.jpg

A huge educational center in the city. The efficient  free educationsystem is responsable for

the econmic succes of the nation.

    pohjoisoldharway29may28we0.jpg

A view of the marina and the wealthier residential areas surroundig it and there is also a

hotel provideing some spectacular views of the lake for visitors.

    pohjoisoldharway29may28sr5.jpg

Ones home to the most succesful factory owner in the nation but now works as an exclusive

hotel and spa also hosting diffrent high end events.

    pohjoisoldharway29may28jr6.jpg

Another view of the smaller marina built in a small bay.

    pohjoisoldharway29may28qh7.jpg

A park with new residential buildings and apartmentblocks close by the smaller marina.

    pohjoisoldharway29may28qv1.jpg

More Hotels with spectacular views and some rental flats rigt next to them.

    pohjoisoldharway29may28kc1.jpg

In the middel you have the old hospital taht is also the oldest building in this part of the city

nowdays pepole that need extra care are treathed there. The tower you can see to the left

is the reginol HQ of Samsung.

    pohjoisoldharway29may28yc5.jpg

You can still spot some smaller buildings right in middel of the new buisness and

residential district towering up by the main marina.

    pohjoisoldharway29may28cb2.jpg

Malls, shops and supermarkets are situted right by the waterfront broadwalks.

    pohjoisoldharway29may28ox4.jpg

Departmentstores, hotels. nightclubs. private offices and even cardealerships has got and

    prime location in the city.

    pohjoisoldharway29may28gt4.jpg

The port tower is the first tower in this part of the city now hoseing private bisneses.
