Welcome to my newest city journal.

Newport was my first cj which lacked interest from me, Greater Finchaven was my second which was the favourite one of all of my creations but the files were lost for it, so I couldn't continue and the third one, Moreton was a dud from the start, according to me.

This city journal, District of Mornington will cover the lakeside region which has many beautiful villages and farming communities.

Contents

1 - Hamilton Sound

3A - Region View

2 - Hyde Park

3 - Airport and Location

This is what the district looks like as of today:

You can see that it isn't quite finished yet, I will progress with construction during this city journal.

Thanks for visiting, please comment

Nice region shot and I love the logo. It looks like the logo for a brand new suburb. "Spectacular views and beautiful green space. Located in the prestigious West End. Only 15 minutes to downtown. This, is Mornington. Starting from the low 500's."

It looks really good, I love the greeness and it's kind of low-density feel. Looking forward to more.

This first update will be about the area in Mornington called Hamilton Sound. If you don't know what a 'sound' is, it's a long body of water.

This will only be a small update, I will have some longer ones later on in the city journal.

Nice start. The bridges and nature scenery look very well done! Also like the farming, allthough it could use some diversity in shapes (ak it's a bit box) But vwery nice start and looking forward to more!

Nice pictures. The farms on the hillside seem a little out of place with the pine trees and such, but they're still pleasing to the eye.

I must say, those are probably the best looking farms I have seen so far on this site... Awesome. I like how the trees seperate the farms and they just seem to 'roll' over the hillside... Very realistic!

Your update managed to distract my from my philosophy essay, I have to say Im impressed. Not bad for a first-time CJ. I especially like the bridges.

Everything's looking good so far. Farms are nice, bridges are nice, town is...interesting. Like the building variety. It's very small town-ish, as opposed to bigger cities where you have neighbourhoods that are all one wealth level. Still love the logo.

    The_Hutt - Thanks.

Smarty218 - Yes, that's what I was going for. Thanks for your comment.

    KUVACHIM - Well thankyou!

GingerBlokey - Hahah, it isn't my first cj, it's my fourth.

jayo - Thanks. It has changed a bit since when I posted that pic.

KingTitan - No, it isn't a real place. Thanks.

    edmonton_stinks - Thanks.

This update will be about the most important township in the district. It is called Hyde Park, it is located right on the edge of Lake Mornington and has rolling hills parallel with the water. It is in quite a scenic area.

There is one freeway which bypasses most of the city, it is called the Hyde Park Bypass or "M1 Alt", it is part of the M1 Highway.

The population of the town has grown exponentially over the past few years with new housing estates popping up everywhere. Some are in the mountains, some on the lakeside and some are in the middle of the town, but there is heaps of room to expand the city even further.
