Maximum number of commuters

What is the maximum number of commuters allowed within a city?  

Does this have anything to do with the 65535 bug, I remember a thread mentioning that but can't find it again...

I mean can I have a city (mostly residential  say about 400K with only 70K jobs) and a neighboring city (mostly commerical/industrial, filling up the demand created from the mostly residential city) and have say 150K commuters or so?

Also is a net/net amount or just a flat 65K limit?  Like can you have 100K coming in but 35K going out

Probably sounds weird, but in order to create some realism in my NYC project, some 'cities' will have some heavy commuting going on....

Ultimately, I may have to zone some of that light commercial into medium commercial.in the mostly residential 'city'..... just don't want the big office buildings... well that's another topic for the future

The simple answer is there is no limit, either for coming, or going.

Yes!! Awesome, I was under the impression that after a certain amount the game either crashed or became unstable. Would you know what the bug I was referring to was? Thanks for the info

I heard that,I think it was either a bug that was fixed in a patch or it was just a rumor to scare people.Either way its not there.

I haven't heard of the the bug. What I find is people make user errors, then call it a bug. I guess you call that the "User Error" bug.
