That is some great city images, and I like the way you did the interchange and Oswego's new suburb. But the highway going across the screen doesn't really connect with the vertical route highway, and I'm not exactly sitting on the edge of my seat at a huge gripping CJ, like Nexis of Genesis or Crystal City. Most CJ makers add a little bit of a storyline to it to make it ecxiting, or just make it an entire story done in SC4. You could do something like that, or just place an event in your CJ like a comet, a comet showed as a missile,a volcano, or an alien attack just to lighten it up a little. You don't have to,but it might be an even better CJ if you did. With adding a storyline you just need to think up a story on a sort-of large scale in your mind and try to follow it in your CJ. P.S I never made a CJ and am basing it on CJs I have already seen,so judge on what I just said whether it's good to follow it. I signed up for around half a year, forgot about it for 1 and 1/2 years and only rerembered it a month ago, so theoretically I've only been around here for a year.

Sorry I haven't replied in a while. Your cities are looking great! In my opinion those might be a bit too many swimming pools, but if you like them keep keep using them. I really like how you kinda break away from the grid.

    Thanks Skram!

City2Themax- Yeah, I did try to make it more creative and greener. Also, I put all the pools like that because I want each neighborhood to look and feel the same.

Unfortuantly, I can't get the update out today because I was unexpectadly busy. I will sure to get one out tomorrow.

Nice update! I just noticed that those neighborhoods kinda look like some nieghborhoods in southern LA (Anahaim, Santa Ana). They have the similar swimming pools and cul-de-sacs. Looking forward to more!

Hey eveyone! This is just to say i have been side tracked with trying to make "bats" and unsuccessfully, (no I couldnt it was too complicated for me). But, I am still going to have the teaser tomorrow, in the late afternoon. I will have the complete update schuduled on Saturday.

cleaner475- Thanks! I will try to make them more "exciting". I noticed it ironically after you commented. Thanks for speaking up!

Skram- Thanks a lot my friend!

City2TheMax- Yes they are. I added those swimming pools and the two other lots to make a neighborhood similar to make it like a complex. Thanks for your comment!

Have you tried checking out the Omnibus article about making BAT's? It might help. I don't make BAT's, but do some 3D modelling off and on.

    Teaser for Saturday's Update

Hey everyone, this is a quick one picture teaser for Saturday's update.

This deals with new seasonal trees I added along every point of all of the canals. I will show you all of this on saturday, I am just showing them in action along only one point. As always, comment or critize me freely!

    -bbfan02-

    (Replies at end)

EDIT- ATTENTION- I cannot get the seasonal trees to work right now, so I will include them in the next update which will be on Satruday. I will show you a picture of the new plopable Walgreens I downloaded witch will be included on the update. So, I will work the problem out. Sorry everyone!

    Below: The Plopable Walgreen's.

    Skram- Thanks my friend!

City2TheMax- I almost tried everything, even with the guide, I just cant do it. I might try it again, but it is just too complicated and confusing for me. I'm only 13!

I can see how it would be confusing. I'm only 14, but after trial and error (many errors) I am getting the hang of 3D modelling (with Blender, not some other program). If it's just too frustrating then leave it be, but if you really want to do stuff with it it just takes alot of practice.

Anyways, I'm looking forward to the next update! Hope those seasonal trees work out.

Wow your use of canals is very extensive!  Great job (pst: can we get a region pic? 2.gif)

Also (completely off topic), 3d modelling takes lots of time to practice and isnt' something that goes easily if you don't have a good idea in your head of what you want.  Blender is a great 3d program, but probably isn't the best introduction to 3d modelling, its interface takes forever to get used to and is very frustrating for the first few weeks of useage (but after you get the hang of it, it's phenomenal).  I would reccomend (if possible 3ds max) gmax as a good introduction to get a feel for a 3d environment.  But once again, you have a great cj! 4.gif

Thanks City2TheMax for the comment! And thanks AutoVino!

I will just try to fool around with the gmax when I have some spare time on the weekends without school and stuff. i guess if I read some stuff on all of the processes of gmax, I guess eventually I will get the hang of it.

Also, just remind me if I forget to show a region picture. I screwed up on the region because I changed around the whole thing and it doesnt look like Nebraska. Anyways my region population is only about 1.6 Mil. i have only half of the whole region covered, but I am not done with all those cities.

    Update 21

Hey everyone, here is update 21.

This update is a big one, and I will show you the seasonal trees I finally got to work, new sections of canals and some new farmland. As always, if you have any questions or comments or tips, do not hesitate to tell me.

P.S- I also included a region shot because someone requested it.

    (Replies at end)

EDIT- I couldnt find any seasonal trees (sorry15.gif) I downloaded Pegasus' "Random Trees". It is still a good lot, but those trees aren't seasonal.

    -bbfan02-

Below: Because I have to put 2x2 flora, I had to move the Walgreens. (You can also see some of the flora that is surrounding the canals). I also could fit 1x1 on the other side shown there.

Next 6 pictures below: The next three pictures showcase the beauty that the trees make along the sections of the canals.
