                     OSWEGO

City Population: 4,240

Sea Level: The city is at sea level, (but some parts 3 or 4 feet)

Demographics: All flat land, one lake in the middle.(Called Cusak Lake)

History

Oswego was settled on May 4th, 1798 by a person named Joseph F. Oswego. He used the piece of land the canal town now stands on as plantations and slaves worked there before the south outlawed it later in time. Not much of the land changed until the late 1950's when demand skyrocketed. Much of the plantations are not there anymore and in places of them, there is a suburban small canal town. Not much development on the land now, but demand for it is rising rapidly.

The two major roads are Henderson Avenue and Hilton Head Blvd. Shown below are some pictures around town:

I like the use of Oppie's stuff, but you need WAY more custom content than that. The grid is a bit too griddy for my liking, but the use of roundabouts is very eye-pleasing. This looks really good, and I hope it only gets better from here!

pretty cool, i live near a port city here in New York called Oswego, it also has a river that runs into Lake Ontario called the Oswego River.  Did you know Oswego is Native American for "pours into" because the Oswego River pours into Lake Ontario. Its one of only a few lakes that actually run North.

Yes, SG is SimGoober. You simply edit your first post ie the post that started the thread.

nice list of stuff there, and the city is looking better, i personally prefer the SG or CAL canals as opposed to the one you are using (peg's i think?) but you use them well. Good idea naming the streets as well.

Here is the first update of my canal city, Oswego. In this update, I added a new residential neighborhood and I added a group of well-known stores. Also, I added some parking for it. Btw, does anyone know where to get like Dick's Sporting Goods and other retail stores like that? The pictures are below. The town is also thinking about getting their first public golf course. But, the vote has to pass in city hall. Also, I downloaded all those custom buildings on the list. The next update is better than this one. Anyways enjoy!

The new overshot of the area. I wanted this update to include more things but I was very busy today and I had to cut it short.

This is basically the last part of the update I released yeturday. I wanted to release the whole thing, but I ran out of time. I added some more commerical "well-known" bisnesses along the newly added Lincoln Ave. I will follow with an update most likely the same time tomorrow. Enjoy! Also, the replies to all your comments are at the bottom of this update.
