Unusual Brown Box Problem

I recently decided to register SC4 to access the stuff on the EA website. After registering, I started to see brown boxes appear on many lots including downloads. I tried again on 2 other computers, but found the same issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as this reduces the realism of the game

The brown boxes would not be a results of registering.

They are a result of not having some prop, or lot files in the plugins folder.

When you say you tried on 2 other computers, did you copy the plugins folder to the other computers?

Could you list some of the lots that the brown boxes appear on?

you need to download the dependencies for the buildings too, other wise you see your brown simcity.com boxes.

There are two default dependency files.  You can get them from the Maxis site in the Lot Editor download page or from the files pages stickied here.  These are buildings as props volumes 1 and 2.  If you use our local pages, be careful, because not all files are for both PC and Mac.
