    YES! I had some free time this afternoon, and finally fixed the problem I was having! As a result, I was able to get a quick pic in!

    Allen Canyon Bridge.JPG

    The old and new Allen Canyon Bridge, just oustide of Santa Juanita.

    ==============

    Fairlane500--No problem...thanks a lot!

    Superstar--Hey! Thanks a lot! Feel free to bump into it again!

    Mexicanboy--*sigh*...dude I was just kidding! 9.gif I apologize. Sometimes, I just forget that the internet doesn't have that little thing called tone of voice. I don't mind any formatting, man. Keep doing it!

    oroen--Hello again! Thanks, this is area is supposed to be a mix of Montclair and a medium sized city. And as for the hierarchy; doesn't it feel like it should be that way?

    Just something I want to share with you all:

    I needed to make this map for the SCJU World Map. I think it looks nice, so I'm gonna post it here. I'll also post the world map when Hammo is done with it.

    Wow, those region shots look very good, Ginchael.. The infrastructure looks very natural and flowing along the contours of the forests, hills and other natural areas of Harding.. Very nice!

    Also, in the SCJU World Map, is that Chaumont I'm seeing on the East Coast? I love it! 44.gif

    A new suburb has emerged south of Harding along the San Lucas River--Brett.

    and I'm presenting it as if I'm ripping off oreon

    All pictures are facing south.

    Brett_downtown.JPG

    Downtown Brett--you can see the southern border of Harding! Great rejoicing!

    Brett_Mall.JPG

    The Brett Regional Mall, just outside of downtown (imagine what THAT did to downtown demand...)

    Brett_Nugget Squares.JPG

    To end, we do a little voyage back into Harding to see the furthest reaches--the Nugget Squares. These neighborhoods (as well as the city of Brett) owes its exisistance to the discovery of a few gold nuggets in Nugget Creek in 1845. This was the predecessor to the Harding River Gold Rush in the 1860s and 1870s.

    =======================

    jarnomiedema--Why, of course that's Chaumont! Wouldn't want to piss off the empire, now would I? Thank you very much.

    Sorchin--Do you mean the region shots or the map? I'll be glad to walk you through it, please just clarify for me. And thank you very much.

    Hello ginchael. I mean the region view and how you were able to make it so.. er.. well big9.gif I'm not sure exactly how Image Shack allows for pictures that big. Also you made a thumbnail of it that, when clicked went directly to Image Shack. I don't believe you used the Direct Link line right? Was it the Thumbnail for forums 1 line? Hopefully I'm making sense43.gif If you can briefly run through the steps I would be grateful4.gif Thanks very much...44.gif

    btw: I absolutely love the Mall.9.gif WOW very cool my friend. You have a really beautiful CJ ginchael.44.gif

    Okay, an easy step-by-step tutorial for Sorchin. (It's only two steps, it's so easy! Well, maybe three.)

    Step 0
    Take a picture of your region, or a flag, or any item over the Simtrop limit of 800x600. Convert it to a jpeg.

    Step 1
    Open ImageShack .

    howto1.jpg

    Browse to find your image using the browse button (outlined in blue). When you find it on your hard drive, click on the host it button (also outlined in blue).

    Step 2

    When you hit the host button, it should bring you to this screen.

    howto2.jpg

    Copy the first box, or Thumbnail for Websites. Do NOT use the Thumbnails for Forums 1 or 2 because Simtropolis forums are based on HTML. Make sure you have html enabled (I use Firefox, so it does this automatically) and copy it into Simtrop.

    10305satelite3so.th.jpg alt=Free Image H

    Voila! A perfectly good thumbnail of a larger image.

    Hopes this helps, Sorchin! And thanks a lot!

    Sorry for bumping again...but I had to include this, and it deserves its own post. Hammo recently released his map of the SCJU members, of which AltAmerica (Mount Royale, Newport, and Harding) is part of. View it here!

    A small update this weekend, still in the San Lucas Valley. BUT we're on the other side of the river this time.

    SL1_residental.JPG

    A close up of a large residental area.

    SL1_symphoney.JPG

    The Valley Amphitheater, along one of the ridges in the Mount Pleasant range. In this pic, you can see the jughandle that leads off of the avenue onto Mountainside Highway. Mountainside Highway is a small two lane road that traverses this ridge.

    =============
    sorchin--No problem, man. I tried to download the snow mod today, but it didn't show up...I'll try the lower mod when I have time later. Oh, and about the link? You definitely deserve it.

    Very nice theatre ginchael. I'm looking forward to development around it. Are you going to put buildings and/or parks near it or leave it more or less by itself? I would suggest43.gif perhaps putting jeronij's Plop Lakes and Goldiva's Tree and Plant flora around it. IMO anyways43.gif

    I can't wait to see what you do my friend.44.gif
    Take care for now buddy.29.gif

    Hey there, remember me. Well I'm here, still enjoying this Great CJ of yours. I notice one thing while looking back at what I've missed not many people are posting in this CJ. It makes me mad how not many are doing so. But what can you do, hey at lease you

    RESPONSE TIME!

    sorchin--I think I'm just going to leave that area alone as one of the region's Nature Parks (like Harding Rocks or Eagle Lake). But, using Godiva's mod might not be a bad idea...let me see how much room I have on my hard drive left...18.gif Thanks a lot for commenting!

    Mexicanboy13r--Hey there, long time no see. If this were real life, the concrete supports of the highway would help to support the earthen levee. Actually, though, this is just a game, so... 3.gif And please, I know you like to use fonts and colors...use them if your heart desires!

    sloppet--Hey, thanks a lot, man!

    ===========
    Sorry guys, but the next update might not be for a while...I'll try to pop little things in now and then (like a map or two) but everything is in high gear right now...47.gif I'll try this weekend.

    Hello all.

    Well, this hasn't had an actual update in a while...

    Don't get me wrong, I've been TRYING to update, but every time I open the durn cities, they close on me! That and the combined weight of RL has been blocking updates for this.

    As for above...well, that was an attempt at a story. When I first started this WAAAAY back in May, this was just going to be a few pages long while I developed, and then start a new thread when development was sufficent enough to start a story (like Mr. Cinancit) However, this thread has kind of grown into its own, and I figured I'd start the story sooner rahter than later.

    Well, the busy period has passed, so look for maybe an update or two every week or so.

    ---------
    sorchin--Thanks man...Developing Macedon is really getting along! Congratulation!

    The End.jpg

    This CJ must come to an end, and this end is now. I cannot open a single file in this region...I think they are all corrupted and cannot be saved. So, I'm killing this CJ.

    It was inevitable, I guess. This CJ is a relic from last year, where CJs were pretty models of American cities. Now, I'd like to move on to something new, something not associated with AltAmerica, but an entirely new country.

    Thank you all very much for your support, especially those regulars--Mexicanboy13r, oeren, sorchin, Traffic_Jam, jacqulina...I'm sure there's more that I forgot, but thank you all!

    Look for a new one from me coming soon...The Republic of Armalis : Armalis Senatorraine

    God Bless,
    Ginchael
