the NAM Radical Custom Special Doesn't Work

I'm still getting the darned "Abandoned due to commute time" message when I click on abandoned residential towers. Even though I now have had the NAM Radical Custom Special mod in my NAM for about a year or so now. And I have plenty of commercial jobs in the city (about 20,000 more avail.jobs than people) so that's definately not the problem.

My main city Prancelina is a tropical island city, which means no neighbors by land. Only power line and water connections.

I have 9,237 industrial jobs (mostly high tech) and just over 50,000 residents (mostly all medium and high wealth), but I have over 65,000 Commercial jobs, mostly medium and high-wealth ones. Do I need more industry or what?

No, the only plopped lots in MY City are Commercial office buildings from STEX, I have 2 or 3 of those.

There is way below average for I-D and I-M (taxes), neutral demand for I-A (farms), and a little above average (but not much) for I-HT.

Perhaps you need check your education. If your people aren't smart enough to work those fancy robots, they can't find any jobs in your city. You may well need to put some dirty industry down for a little while, because I think if a building becomes abandoned the education level resets to zero. Thus, you may hit a cycle of abandonment, homes being reinhabited (or whatever the real word is), and being abandoned again. This will take your EQ on a roller coaster ride and the residents will never reach the intelligence threshold before they pack it up due to unemployment.

At least, that's what happened to me. If this doesn't describe your situation, then I'm out of ideas.

my EQ is great, I have schools and colleges all over the place. And I have very few low wealth people, so dirty industry won't help worth a hang, just ruin my enviornment and give Camil Meadows fits. Thanks for the advice, though.

    Andrew!

    and P.S. - It's started working now.
