You want a bridge passing over the small canyon where the road is passing? If you do, then i am asking the same question that has been torturing me for long long time: how?

i think the only way to make the road go over the canyon road would be to flatten out a part of the canyon, run the canyon road through a tunnel, and then run the road on top. I didn't explain it very well, but i'm not good with words. Hope it helps! i hate the fact that you can't build bridges over roads.

There are underbridge transit pieces on the STEX, but traffic won't go on it, but for eyecandy it's just perfect. Build the bridge first ,then place the offset lot where you want it.

hope that helps.

I have built tunnels on an incline, but the trouble is that it is unpredictable. You might make a few attemps to see if it works.

You could also raise a couple of tiles up to the upper level, then put the tunnel in.

I saw this post yesterday and was curious to see if I could come up with something that might work for you (using a tunnel in the canyon). After spending about 4 hours trying to do what you wanted, I concluded it simply was not possible. The reason is because the canyon is too narrow and SC4 is really picky with how it places its bridges. I did; however, come up with something that is close to what you are looking for. This is what I got after a lot of trial and error. (I left the grid on so you can see how things were placed.)

This was done without using the slope mod and with the normal terraforming tools. Note that you must place the tunnel first then the bridge. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Actually the nam overpass pieces only work on slopes that are approximately 15 or 16 meters in height. They would not work for this situation. Gn_leugim: You should also note that, in order to build the tunnel, you will have to make the terrain much higher and steeper just beyond where you plan to place the lower tunnel entrance. Then you will need to make sure the upper tunnel entrance area is terraformed as you see in the photo. Finally, after much trial and error, you can place the tunnel and then lower the terrain that is on top of it. Be very careful when terraforming near the tunnel entrances or you will destroy them and have to start over. The game has a decent tolerance for allowing the terrain to be moved down in small increments close to the tunnel portals, but if you try to move the terrain up in that area you will surely destroy them. One final note, the sides of the canyon will need to be formed to pretty much exactly what you see in the photo and even then it will take some work to get the bridge to be placed. If you don't already know this, you can use SHIFT+1 (or any number key) to change the size of the terraforming tool, that way you can be more precise. Best of luck to you, I know it won't be easy.
