My textures don't render correctly! They display properly in the BAT viewports, but when I try to render, here's what happens - some of the textures disappear altogether! WTH? How do i fix this? ANY help would be appreciated.

Here's the viewport...

The Camera View...

So what happened to the textures on the fuselage? Did I hide them somehow?

EDIT - I know the wing textures are garbage. They'll be worked on after the fuselage is figured out.

You know, I'm texturing right now, and I can tell you that sometimes, GMax can be a pretty frustrating programme! The last time something like this happened to me, (LOL, which wasn't so long ago!) I first rendered it again. After that, I undid all of the UVW maps on the elements in question and then re-applied them all. This did the trick, atleast for me. I hope it helps you out, because the same thing happened to me. My textures were great, adn then I had texture a spire, and then a few were gone.

Yeah, I redid all the UV maps and they showed up again, but whenever I changed the wing textures, they'd disappear again. I finally got frustrated and just went ahead with a render including crappy wings. Meh, it does the job, I suppose.

    Your gmax scene is corrupted.

Here are the steps to fix it:

    - Backup your scene (copy it).

    - Open gmax. In the new scene create a new Omni (or any other type) light. This will cause some yellow rays focused at the scene's center to be disaplayed. Then delete the Omni light.

    - In the File menu select Merge. Select your scene.

    - In the list that follows select everything except TB2CameraHandle and click OK. This will import all objects in the scene. Only the used materials will be imported, some others created by gmax itself will be deleted.

    - Save your scene (Save As), overwritting the old scene.

    - Export. Now it should be error-free.

Often a gmax scene gets corrupted. I think it's mostly the material editor that causes this. Use the above procedure to fix it.

I would also advise that you ALWAYS take the above procedure before exporting, esp for large BATs. The 1 minute needed is absolutely justified, if you consider the time to be lost (and frustration) due to render errors.

It might be caused by mirroring too. I found that messes up the textures sometimes. The mirror button next to the align button usually always does this. Going to Parametric Deformers > Mirror never does this, so try this. But what Cogeo suggested should fix it.
