Hey everyone, i'm still having a hard time getting the rural highway to work. I checked all the dependances and I had all of them. Is there something wrong?

4 People having trouble?  Alright, I guess I will help ya out with what I can.

You have to download everything in the right order.  (All via my sig)

1. Download the June NAM.  Be sure to install the ANT network as well.

2. Download the NAM: Essentials file

3. Download the RHW version 0.13B and make sure its in your NAM folder.

If  you downloaded it all correctly, it gets more complicated im afraid!

It looks like you guys may have a conflicting issue with some of your plugins. Something that was compatible with the old NAM/RHW is now incompatible with the newer files. This happened to me, eek!

The best way to solve this problem is to move all the files in your plugins folder elsewhere. Then redownload the NAM (Installing the ANT network, too!) , the NAM: Essentials file, and then the RHW network. Again, make sure that the RHW folder is in your NAM folder. Then, run the game, preferably in a new city. The RHW network should work properly.

Then, theres the painstaking task of moving all your plugins back into your folder to see who the violator is. Try sorting out possible incompatible files from the rest and put these back, in blocks at a time. If one block disrupts the RHW, then you can look into that "block" and find the offender.

Now, if that doesn't work, I would suggest you have a look at the readme file to make sure you didn't miss anything, unless someone else has a possible solution!

Best of luck you 4!

How did you download the ANT? When I clicked on it to download, it took me to the latest NAM and I already installed it.

Haljacky- should I copy everything in my plug-ins to another folder?

Actually, I think I have an easier way to slove this. Every time I download something and I unzip-it, I delete it to my recycle bin. After I download and un-zip about 4 or 5 items. I run the game and see if anyone of them are invailid or corrupted. If one or multiple are invailid or corrupted, I restore the item from the recycle bin and I see what to look for and once I find the files, I delete them. I still have all the rural highway files in my recycle bin. Should I restore all of them and try to relocate them in my plug-ins folder? I think my system works better than yours, no offence, Haljacky.

bbfan02: You must go throught the NAM installer carefully and when you get to the right point check the option that says "ANT". As for the conflicting plugins I'd use the BSC Cleanitol software on SC4 Devotion. I'd also recommend getting the NAM Essentials off of SC4 Devotion, because the one here caused problems for me as well.

Well, I have never been to SC4Devotion. Do you have to make a account? And how safe and how does the "BSC Cleanitol Software" work?

bbfan02. If I were you, I would make a new folder on your desktop and move ALL your plugins there. You don't have to copy them, just move them.

Then reinstall the NAM with the ANT network, the NAM: Essentials, and then the RHW. Run your game in a new city, and try it out. If it works, then move your plugins back until you discover the one thats conflicting with the RHW.

Also, READ THE README in the RHW and NAM installation! It answers everything!

Yea but, when I move all my plug-ins out of the folder and I install the NAM and all the other stuff for the rural highway, wont all my cities get screwed up because of all the plug-ins arent in the folder? Thanks for all your help so far.

Or, should I move all the plug-ins to my documents? Cause I cant move them to my desktop.

Like I said, try removing EVERYTHING from your plugins and place it SOMEWHERE else. It really doesn't matter where, as long as it isn't in your plugins folder.

    Then.....

    1. Download the NAM with ANT network

    2. Download the NAM Essentials

    3. Download the RHW

    4. Open Sim City 4.

    5. Start a New City

    6. Go to your highways menu and select the RHW tool.

    7. Drag the network side-by side for at least 3 tiles.

    8. The RHW should appear and function properly.

    9. Exit Sim City 4

    10. Re insert your plugins in your plugins folder a few files at a time. Run SC4. Try some more plugins, Run it again. Do this until you find the files that conflict with the RHW.

Now if this doesn't help you and you check the readme from the NAM and the RHW. I suggest looking at the RHW topics in the Modding: Transit networks section. If THIS doesn't help you, post your problem in the RHW: Questions, Errors and testings thread where the others involved with the RHW can help you.

I've done all I can here, and I wish you luck bbfan02.

Thanks for all your help, haljacky, I'll try it as-soon-as-possible. Its gonna take a long time for me cause my plug-ins folder has 645 MB in it.
