How to make a larger region

Hey,

  Lately i have seen examples of people creating larger regions than the normal size? Someone please tell  Aong the  with others members who cannot do thisplease tell us how to make our regions larger. Also are there any problems that come with it?

go the modds and downloads section and download the terraformer, then when you open up the program, you have the option to resize a region. make sure to read the readme.

go to my region folder
and select the region
where you get a small pic
select to edit with paint and save your changes
sizes are as follows

Blue=large
Green=medium
red=small

The config.bmp file determines what size the cities, and region are.  The default size is 16x16 pixels, for a 1025x1025 pixel grayscale.jpg.

If you have a developed region, you can only add to the bottom, and right side of the region.  If you want to make a new region, it can be of any size your computer can handle.

These are the details:

grayscale to config.bmp ratio :
64:1 plus 1

config.bmp file:

Large city = 4x4 pixels  blue
Medium city = 2x2 pixels  green
Small city = 1x1 pixels  red

There are a couple of programs that make creating a region easier.  I suggest also checking the Mapping Community forums for more information.  There are some good pointers there.
