I seem to recall seeing something called "Plugins Manager", or something  once...but now I can't find it anymore.

First of all, does it exist, and second of all...if it does, what is it?

I'd only be interested in it if it's a convenient way to manage my plugins, or something--a sort of way of cleaning up my Landmarks menu...which is completely overloaded with hundreds of buildings...

It is installed with the SC4 BAT installer, it's to set the attrubutes, and parameters for models created in the gMax BAT, so they can be used in the Lot Editor.

It has no use for organizing you Plugins folders.

Well, I suggest that you delete all those plugins, then, before you start downloading from the STEX, i advise you to make a folder, arrange folders in there like categories(Landmarks, Parks, Public Safety, Transportation, Airports, etc.) and download everything in the suitable folder. If a download contains dependencies, than make a sub folder inside the proper category.

Before downloading anything, copy those category files and place them in the plugins, program files. That way you can add or delete plugins the easiest way...

Hope i helped lol,

 take care

Is doing all that going to make my Plugins Folder less cluttered, and easier to navigate?

Indeed it is; i hope you understood me because it seems i was drunk when i wrote it 3.gif jk

anyway, that's what i did and trust me; when i see a brown box in the place of landmarks...i run to that folder, remove what i recently installed and the brown box is gone; i know exactly what my lists in the menus have and know exactly where to find everything if i want to delete anything

    Correction:

Copy the plugins, and mods to the My documents\simcity\plugins folder. That folder loads last, and overwrites other data that the plugins, or mods change.

I said nothing about faster, and I doubt there would be a difference.

What I said was last, which is necessary to overwrite data that needs to be changed for the mod, or plugin to work.

    I have a problem!!

I downloaded stadiums from the exchange area....but for some reason they can only be downloaded as read only files. Theres no way of actually getting them into the game and use them!

Can anyone tell me how to download them without them being just a read only file?!

Right click on the file and choose "Properties",  then uncheck the "read only" box.
