i always see them lit up in the pics when I download them, but in my city at night the only buildings that light up are the ones that came with the game.. any way I can get this to work? Also, a lot of my downloaded plopables like best buy, sears, supermarkets, etc have problems displaying the parking lots.. any help is appriciated, back to sc4!

Please list the game version, and the Simcity 4.exe version. You will need the SC4update4BAT.exe installed before the nightlights will work in the game.

oops i have the deluxe version of the game.. where do I find that file? I did a google search and found extremely little results, most of which I would not download from in fear of getting a virus. EP1 Update 1 (Build 638) is the only patch i have installed.

Then you need the file I mentioned above. It's found on the BAT tool page at simcity.ea.com, the hot link is on the left side of the page, and labeled Simcity 4 update/14.4 MB. You need to be registered, and logged in to download the file.

Only if you created the BAT model, and then you would have to modify the scene, and render it again.

I suppose you could reinstall and not install the update, then none of the custom lots would have nighlights.
