Sim City DS related question..

The only events I ever experience are the fireworks gala and gabon the destroyer? I hear there are random fires, electricity shortages, and other disasters, and games with Santa but I never see them. What's wrong?

No clue, I wish I could say. All I ever see is the fireworks gala. However, I absoulutely HATE it when the powerplants just ranomly blow up and more than half the city goes out.

Well so far it's still only Gabon that's doing anything event wise, and the fireworks gala. So I don't know anymore. Maybe things have to occur for the other events to take place?

Also is it just me or is it that when you reach 100,000 the song changes? I was sick of that one tune. I wish you could change it like you can in Sim City 4. And does that happen again when you reach 200,000, and 300,000, and so on and so on? Thanks for your responses.

Gabon shows up when you have too much pollution, and Santa stays away when there is too much pollution.

A problem I ran into was that my pollution kept going higher and I couldn't figure out why. It turned out my water was heavily polluted and I didn't realize I should have been building water treatment plants. If you go into build mode and use the question mark tool you can get information about a building/square of land. Do this on a polluted area and see what type of pollution you're having.

Yes, the song changes at 100,000 but it's barely past that in my game so I don't know about other song changes.  I actually like the newer tune better; it's a bit more relaxing. ; )
