How do I transit enable for diagonals?

I wasn't sure where else to put this so I thought I'd be best to put it here.  I've seen a few things on the STEX-namely the road top mass transit series V2 and marrast stations-that are transit enabled for diagonal segments.  Does anybody know how to or, at the very least, can point me to more information on how to do this?  If this has already been brought up feel free to lock this thread and point me to the original.  Thanks!

It's not too difficult. You first need to transit enable each tile you want to be TE'd with SC4tool. then using the exemplar editor, find the tile def for the traffic for each tile (identified by it's hexadecimal coordinates) and change the direction accordingly to one of the following (North is the direction the lot arrow points):

0x01000003 N->E

0x00030100 W->S

0x01030103 N->E and W->S

The first two would be either side of a diagonal, the third would be for the middle square of an avenue or the like.

I have not tested it myself, but there is no reason that these couldn't be made for diagonal->orthogonal turns with something like 0x02000003...but again, untested.

Unfortunately, there's no fast way to do this. ilive's reader is a bit quicker for large expanses of diagonal tiles after the initial transit enabling, but you still have to go through one by one...lot's of mistakes involved, so beta test well (and celebrate like crazy if it works right on the first try).

first of all, your doing the daigonal modding wrong. open up the model in sc4tool, and change the model's occupant size to somthing small, like 1x1x1. now open up LE, and the building (no matter how big) can go on a 1x1 lot, and overhang.

^ Um, with all due respect, I'm doing it all right.... There are SOOOOO many things you have to work around to make diagonal bridges work.

Also, the ability to make it show properly in the transit map is a cool feature, and something most developers are concerned with.

And finally, a bus stop is better if it spans BOTH sides of the road.

Not to mention the fact that since I do know how to do multi-tile lots, regardless of their limited use, I might as well post it all here.
