Direction of waterpipes

While trying to lay water pipe to buildings, businesses ect... all of the pipes are pointing in one direction, North. It's been ages since I've spent much time with Simcity. The last version I used was Simcity 2000.

What keystroke allows one to turn the pipes in a desired direction? I've search through my manual, as well as done searches here on the forums.

Also a newbie to Simcity 4 and once I get the hang of it I think I'm going to enjoy it even better than the earlier versions. tia

Just drag the pipes in the direction you want, they should orient to the direction of your drag.  But the pipe direction is not as important and the pipe coverage area.  As long as the area/building is in the blue, it has water.  Good luck, and welcome to Simtropolis!

Yeah, in all previous versions of SimCity, you could plop down roads or pipes or whatever one tile at a time and if they were right next to each other, they'd connect automatically. In SimCity 4000, you actually have to drag with the mouse to lay down a continuous network.
