Help Me Out Please!!!

Hi everyone, I been lurking around these boards for some time now and I really want to create a great city on Sim City.  I've always enjoyed playing the game, but I don't have any downloaded content.  I am wanting to create some of these beautiful cities like I see in these City Journals with waterfalls, trails, mountains, etc, etc.  Really what I am asking is, can someone post me links of the downloads I need to create my enviroments?  I know there the a terraforming tool or something like that, I'm not quite sure how to use it, but I could figure it out.  Anyways, I am wanting all the tools I would need to build a nice looking city for a beginner.  All the cities I build now look the same and boring after awhile.

Please help me out, anything would be appriecated!  Thanks!

hi my friend i suggest typing in the search string on the stex CP which will take you to lots of wonderfull things,terrain mods and trees,then type in PEG and this will take you to more great things,then type in trees.

One of the wonderful things about SimCity is that there is no perfect city.  Nor are there necessary lots or modds.  It is all personal preference.  The more custom content you download, the more varied your city will be.  There are plenty of threads that suggest some specific things to download.  The two necessities are the opera house fix (fixes a major bug in-game) and the NAM, which allows you to expand your transportation systems. 

In terms of environment, again, there are dozens of water, terrain, and rock modds on the stex.  Which one you choose depends on the look you are trying to achieve.  Browse the stex, you will find what you need!

Thanks guys! I will start checking that out now. I forget to say though, I am going to install the game on my new computer which has Windows Vista. Will there be any problems downloading some of the modds for Vista?

Also, do I need to buy the DVD STEX collections CD to be able to do most of these things?

not sure about the vista thing but its up to you if you want to buy the stex cd i think its a good idea caus its got a lot of things on them that you will like my friend

I am using the game on Vista, and a Intel Core2Quad, and I have not experienced any problems with either.  The mods are geared for the game more that to an OS.
