BAT Texturing

The BAT Tutorial I have been following (BAT Essentials) has broken links for the textures. Does anyone know of any alternate links, or better yet, where you get textures? Or even how you make 'em....

It's best to make them yourself.  There are tutorial in my signature, but you need an image editing program like Adobe Photoshop, or the GIMP (which is free).  There are other tutorials in the omnibus that are about texturing that are also useful.

simcities.com has a great texture exchange. and Jasons signature is pretty much the bible of texturing.

Where am I supposed to choose what texture I want to use? It dosen't let me choose what texture I want like it says it should in the tutorial...

Im still very new but maybe i can help , You have a wall you want to place texture on , first you place a uv map , found in the modifiers tab , this opens another tab  where you make choices about the way the texture will be applied, you then click the red world shape icon top right corner to select your actual texture , you can also make adjustments to the textures before you apply then here .You then apply this to your bat and it looks nothing like you thought it would ,but hey at least you found the buttons which is the first step .
