map downloading problem

when ever i click to download a map from simtropolis it keeps coming up with a grey scale map of it. how can i actually download it to put on my sim city game. thanks!

Right click on the grayscale and use one of the save functions.

If you don't know what to do after you save the image to disk, then there are tutorials in the Omnibus, and threads in the Mapping forums with instructions.

There is no royal road to success.  You people in the now generation need to spend a little more time becoming self-reliant.  Just open the Omnibus and review the topics.  You'll probably find what you need.  Also, look in the custom content section.  End of hints.

As folks have already mentioned, it isn't hard to use the search function or look through the various forums available to get your answers.

I would suggest you read through this article:

Installing a Region From the STEX

This will give you some good information on installing a region once you've downloaded it.

When you find a region on the STEX you would lke to download, you must right-mouse click on the grayscale image file and on the config.bmp file and save them to a location on your hard drive.  Then, follow the instructions in the above thread to install the region.
