hey sup, Jpops?.. astig yung Jollibee mo! Luv it! Tingin ko.. First shot at pinoy bat. congrats! I  suggest you make the latest SM Mall: SM Mall of Asia 9.gif

I also started doing some pinoy bats. My current (also my first bat) is based on batasan pambansa building. Well, I'm hoping to upload it soon. Sige gawa ka ng thread para sa pinoy bat. We could possibly invite other pinoy batters (like PilotDaryl, Filasimo and Dusktrooper *well if he is still around*). Mabuhay ang Pinoy batters! 4.gif

Haven't stopped by in a while, I've been busy.

I'm currently working on a SM mall similar to the Mega Mall, I'm getting close enough to put up a preview pic, so stay tuned. I'm also near completion of a set of sari sari stores, and I will post pics as soon as I can (probably early next week).

    Specific replies since last time:

richard 24: sari coming soon, would love any pics you have of those buildings you requested

jaquelina: your stuff is beautiful, so I thank you very much

Dark elder,X spiderman & Momo: thanks!

Filisimo: Thanks. Sorry about your funny tasting burger3.gif

gt6282: your bat was great! Still the comments about the number of jobs may be right tho...still the building was fantastic. Where is it and what is in it?

Final note, just for the record I am not Filipino (though my sister-in-law says I'm practically filipino because I like diniguan and balut 9.gif) but have been to the Philippines many times and will likely go again early next year. I love the country and the people and I hope I capture the feelings I get when I visit. I'm getting better with Tagalog, so I don't mind if your responses have it in them.

Thanks again everyone, time for bed!

wow., i was surprised to find out you're not pinoy., 4.gif its so nice to see people like you., 4.gif the next time you visit manila, you can PM me., i could give you a tour around manila., together with some peeps from skyscrapercity., 4.gif

That larger version of the Jollibee is really really interesting building, kind of a mix of HK and Japan, I would really like to see a larger version like a 2x2 Corner building of the 1st photo of Jollibee. Your stuff looks like its improving on each model. Keep going.

    I love coffee and buildings.

Thanks, jpops. Yeah, that job thingie is really an issue right now.. Anyway, I'm already fixing it and hopefully I will re-upload it later. Richard already said what Batasan Pambansa is. I am still looking for a picture of it.

I'm also doing another bat.. Actually, two of them but the other one is a long term project. I will probably make another thread where we can showcase our Filipino buildings.. What do you think?

Richard24 thanks for directing me to that forum. Very helpful. SM is becoming relly taxing for me, may backburner it for a bit...

bixel, I do plan on doing that Jollibee later when I feel I'm better at this. Thanks for compliment.

gt, I think our own thread is a good idea.

Here is a pic of where I'm at so far on the mall. Still in very early stages.

The billboards will change, this is just to give an idea.

Below is a pic of the SM Megamall. I'm not duplicating it, just using it as a starting point.

what what what?!?! SM! yahoo! just a suggestion, in the spirit of SM supermalls, could you make them huge? 9.gif i mean Megamall is i think 750m long..so maybe your SM could be bigger than the current largest mall bat (Llyoyd center) in STEX? thanks!

another SM Mall BTW that im planning to make (or at least help you guys out with the CAD or whatever as ive no clue about batting) if someones interested

You guys don't like balut, it's yummy (not to mention a little crunchy9.gif) I also like Max's though the best pancit comes from those little mom and pop stores. My favorite food still remains San Miguel tho...

wayway: I'd love to make a really big mall, but 750m is 47 tiles, almost 20% of a small city,  way too big for my tastes (and I suspect many others). For a future project I'm thing of making several large buildings which could be placed together any way you like into one complex like Glorietta or Mall of Asia, but that's for later. As an aside, I've always wanted to go to Davao and Mindanao in general, but my in-laws get very nervous when I mention this. I hear it's beautiful.

Since size was brought up, how big of a lot would you guys generally consider downloading? My plan for this project is 12 long and 8 deep. In the end it is still important for me that any piece I make "fits" within the game.

PS: filasimo and wayway I I visited your CJs and really loved them.

Anyhoo, time to get back to work, it's my goal to finish something today! Stay tuned...

bahh, thats typical of Luzon attitude to be scared of mindanao, which is jsut a result of media hype, davao is the most peaceful metro city in the philippines (no exaggeration there) and according to the last asiaweek survery (forgot the year, i guess that was last 2001) were the 2nd safest major city in asia (where davao was ranked as the most livable city in the philippines)

mindanao in general is peaceful, its just the media that tries to project a sad image for the island 15.gif

about the mall? how about make it modular? so we can configure our own mall of liking? or at least make blank ends? so we can configure how long we want it? 9.gif

say 1 long mall tile (w/o) edges and two edge tiles so we can close it? 9.gif id really like to make my mall uber big 9.gif
