Hi.

Terraformer is a great tool to make a new region. But every time i create a new region from Terraformer, there shows up lines between every single tiles at the map when starting on city in the region. I dont have this problem if the region is made from the game.

Does anyone know why it is like this? And is there anything i can do with it?

Thanks for your reply. I did try pressing the "G". And for some reason it worked, but only on those flat lands who was left untouched in Terraformer. I'm not shure if it have to do with Terraformer, cause i tried the region on my old computer, and it looked fine then.

    Hello, Q-Tips.

    I've a question for you.

    1)  What version of SC4Terraformer are you using -- Version 1.0c or Version 1.1?

If you are using version 1.0c (as Tungston pointed out) simply pressing the "G" key will toggle the grid lines (that's what that network of lines are called) off and on.

If you are using version 1.1, pressing the "G" key will toggle between grid lines and contour lines.  Please note the following quoted from the version 1.1 ReadMe HTML file:

    ----------
    CHANGELOG
    v1.1
New vertex shader that will display contour lines, only works for those who have a Vertex Shader 1.1 compatible GFX card
    ----------

If you do not have this type of Graphics card in your PC and you are using version 1.1, contour lines will not show correctly on your monitor.  That is the issue in my case on my computer at home.  (My work computer is fine.)

There is a work-around for this that I use assuming you are using Version 1.1.  This work-around requires that you have SC4Terraformer, Versions 1.0c and 1.1 installed.  Please perform the following steps:

    1)  Navigate into the folder where you have installed SC4Terraformer, version 1.1.
    2)  Open the sub-folder entitled datas.
    3)  Rename the file named land.fx to land_fx.ORG.
    4)  From SC4Terraformer, version 1.0c, in the datas subfolder, copy the file named land.fx to the datas folder in the SC4Terrafomer, version 1.1 installation folder.
    5)  Launch SC4Terraformer, Version 1.1.
    6)  When you toggle the "G" key, the grid lines will turn on and off and no contour lines will be used.

This allows you to use the new features of Version 1.1 without the problem (or use of) contour lines.

Q-Tips, I hope this information will be helpful to you.  Please let me know if you need any further help.

    Regards,

    Vandy
