I use only Chicago and New York for the first 20 yrs of my city then add in Houston after that. I almost never use Euro style because I dont think those buildings mingle too well with the other sets.

Euro has the best suburbs, so I tend to use that until I start getting into medium density.

I use like topcliff said, TONS and TONS of Chinese/Hong Kong because it reflects the real world (my cities grow even faster than China is right now) I almost always use only Euro but recently I've been trying to get DT's lofts to grow so I threw in Houston and it's working well.

I use Chicago mostly.  I like the low density residential lots and the brownstones.  The commercial lots are good as well.

I have a bunch of gascooker stuff after that.

I use Euro most of the time because the buildings that grow look new.

I have them cycling, almost like there is a repeating series of architectural fads in my city.

I use them all so I don't get stuck with a bunch of the same buildings(which happens eventually, but later on)

idk i like using odd combos, like chicago and euro because of the old and new flavor combo, or the euro and houston because they both look kinda modern, and i use all new york or all chicago on older vibe cities, sometimes ill just make it rotate every 10 years to give each part of the city its own flavor once it starts to grow more.

Euro for making low-wealth high rises, they just look cleaner and neater. Though they do remind me of an area local to me and the people are not clean or neat....

Then if I am making a dense little middle class suburb then I use chicago so I can get the 2-storey row house.

because the suburbs are so uniform on my simcity and generally in RL in the uk I just leave the commercial to it, it can be as mixed as possible.
