Renaming Existing Cities

hi!

i was wondering if there was any way i can change the name of my existing cities, i tried "whererufrom" but it wont me change the name with spaces and i have to resort to putting an underscore in between words..

so, if i want to change a city name from "Chicago" to "new york" i get "new_york"

any way to change the name with spaces?

Well I don't know what you are doing, so are you using a space also after the whererufrom, and quotation marks immediately before and after?

if type it as

whererufrom new york, i only get "new" as my cityname, so i type it as whererufrom new_york..

do i need to put quotation marks? where?

Yes, you need quote marks.

try:

whererufrom "New York"

i see on extra cheats.dll that there is an option to set the city date..how do i go about using that?

You mean the Simdate parameter?  I tried several variations without result.  Hope someone knows.

yeah, coz i want to "synchronize" the date of my cities to the same year now that the regions are more or less developed, i want to play them 5 years at at time
