how do i use the Network addon

I'm fairly new, and im not sure how this works....

I downloaded the network addon thing, and installed it

It didnt specify where to install it too, so i just put it in a seperate folder that was different from where i had Simcity4 installed (deluxe) 

And i dont see any of the improvements, 

Do i need to install it to the same place i installed simcity 4???? and if so what folder

Welcome to Simtropolis. Everything you download from the STEX is put in the plugins folder in My Documents>SimCity 4>Plugins. Unless stated otherwise. The NAM has got an installer so you download it to say, your desktop and run the file, then read and follow the steps carefully. The installer will put all the files where they are meant to be. I have presumed you have Windows XP, if don't I will help you as much as I can.
