Sorry - this is a stupid question but I cannot find the answer in the readme or elsewhere in the forum.

Once I download the SC4TFv10c.zip file, where do I extract it to?

There's no specific folder, actually.  All you have to do is leave it in your unzipped folder along with other STEX downloads as long as you don't delete it.  4.gif

Thanks Brad-MacD. I extracted it to a folder I created in C3.gifrogram Files\Maxis. The exe file works, I just have to read more of the forums to learn how to use it. The one thing I have to find out is how big is a tile - 100x100 meters? I want to reproduce a real world region.

The city tile size is 1024 m for small 2048 for medium and 4096 for large = 1,2,4 pixels respectively.

for tiles in citites ie terrain tiles it is exactly 16 m. you might be suprised to learn that it is 2 pixels than make a tile as each pixel is in an image describes the elevation of a terrain vertex. 16mx64 =1024 = Small city tile, 16mx128=2048=Medium city tile, 16mx256=4096=large city tile. For a region you need to add 1 pixel so that SCTF and simcity4 recognise the region size as valid. good aproximation is 1 km=1 small city tile. Size of regioninkm x 64 +1 = region image size.

It is also the reason why you always a 1 to the number of city tiles you want the region to be multiplied by 64.

    Hope I didnt baffle you.
