Decide small or big houses

 You all know that when you zone areas, there are different sizes of houses. Sometimes you get 2x2 3x3 etc.

But who can tell me how you can decide that by yourself?

My city's are great but I still don't know that, I have been searching on google for hours.

Well...to zone different size lots, just hold [CTRL] while you zone, and it'll make the entire zone a single lot (nice for zoning large 4x4 and 5x3 zones). You can also use [ALT] to align it to different roads and such, and [sHIFT] to zone without auto-streets.

If you meant how to control the actual lots themselves, I'd suggest tampering with the taxes to try and segregate the differnent wealth levels. Also, make good use of the "Make Historic" option...
