Hey, I know without a doubt that this has been brought up before, but since i cannot find the old threads and am kind of desperate here, please bear with me... My question is this:

Apart from outright buying more memory and ram, is there anyway to fully install SC4 RH onto a drive other than C, Including all of the files/folders found in C:/Documentsandsettings/mydocuments/SimCity4?

The myriad of plug-ins and regions do not come up if I move them from C. And yet, I do seem to have quite a few MODDS and Landmarks (both from STEX and the Offical Sim City 4 site) downloaded on the D drive, so is there something i'm missing here?

Any serious and genuine help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Shane

Windows is the traffic cop, it directs all traffic to the location where files reside. You have the option to install the game in any folder, or drive you like. You may have to move the *My documents folder manually to the D [or ?] drive. Make sure you change the path properties of any shortcuts for the documents folder. If I left anything out, or you have more questions, just ask.

    Hello,

I'm a computer dummy so therefore my question about this topic. If I want to transfer the plugins folder to another drive, do i also need to transfer the part of the game that is in the programs file? Can i just drag the plugings folder to another drive.

    Thanks, Robert

I am not sure that you can change just the plugins folder, or did you mean the "My Documents" folder? The program files can be on a different drive than the documents [plugins] folder.
