You need the NAM for left hand driving. When you install the NAM, make sure that you select the left hand drive box. It is the very last box you can pick on the select components screen of the NAM insatller. You can also just install the switch from here.

I would suggest using the NAM if you have it in your game. because just the switch might not be compatible with the new June 07' NAM that you can get here

I need vice versa one. From left driver (USA) to right hand driver (Europe).

Hmm, not exactly, you need to both run the patch AND install the left-hand driving options of NAM. Plus the above patch has no just some registry values but also requires running an installation/uninstallation program which we do not know what exactly it does. The "problem" is that the installer performs exactly the opposite, ie switches the left-hand driving to right-hand driving. This is for users who have the "European" version of Simcity (check key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Maxis\SimCity 4\Region). In this version you get a left-hand driving installation if you select "English" as the language (because the only English-speaking country in Europe is the UK, which is left-hand driving - not sure about Ireland). So there is no English-language/right-hand driving option in the "European" version of Simcity. But I think the only thing the "installer" does is to backup the UK English language datfile and replace it with the US one (the uninstaller just restores it), so just running Languageremove.reg might be enough for switching Right->Left. Run Language.reg to switch back Left->Right. Reinstall NAM after running these. Better backup your installation to avoid further problems.

Hey left hand driving, UK driving, is not EUropean driving.

I cannot seem to do this right? I just dont get it. I have UK driving in my game, and I want to change it back to normal. what can I do? I have UK game. I tryed installoing those NAM plugins but it didnt help..

My version of SC4+RH is NA (North America). Am I out of luck to switch from left side driver to right side driver?

I think you are confused.

By Right Hand Driving we mean that CARS drive at the right lane of a road (US, most of Europe) not that the wheel is at the right side; by Left Hand Driving we mean that CARS drive at the left lane (UK, Pacific).

The patch (linkie) is for owners of the "European" version of SC4 (check key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Maxis\SimCity 4\Region in the registry). There is no English/RH-Driving option in the "European" SC4, so this mod does exactly this.

To change your driving direction first uninstall NAM.

To change from LH to RH driving run the installer and double-click on Language.reg (select yes). To change back to LH driving run uninstall in the SC4 main folder and double-click on Languageremove.reg (select yes).

I'm not sure if this will work for owners of the US version of SC4 who wish to change to LH driving (UK), but I believe that just clicking on Languageremove.reg makes the switching. I think running the installer/uninstaller may not be necessary, as what this installer does is backup/restore the language file. 

After switching the driving direction you can reinstall NAM (be sure to check the LH driving options if your traffic direction is LH).

The path installer seems to install 'english' folder with locale.DAT file, while the SC4 Deluxe installs 'UKenglsh' folder with locale.DAT file, so how the game knows what to use?

Also, adding the language reg file changes the language from english to finnish, and removing the reg changes it back to english.

it's all so weird, is the left to right mod fully compatible with deluxe update EP1 and latest NAM?
