    Krio

I know what you mean, however, my later districts have much more variety to their buildings as I begun to download more off of the STEX.

A modern dock really needs rail access, warehouses and cranes. I like that exhibition centre.

wow i really like that map, it looks really good the city as well, i like the monument pionus center or whatever looks amazing and the city seems pretty realistic... but krio does have a point to many sim maxis buildings...but youve already been told so im not going into that this has some great potential and im actually more interested in the rest of the country itself and to see if you develop that as well, that would be like mine, as i plan to do that...anyway great update and port looks very nice

i like the concept and that your city seems to have a lot of trees, too. the habour and docks are teasing.

i little bit more variety would be nice, but i guess you already work on that,so i'm corious about next update.

    good start

    Alta Docks

Alta's docklands are the corner stones of the city's economy, therfore it is necessary that the local government puts as much money into the docks as possible. Projects are constantly being put forward to make sure that the docks maintain optimum economic performance by providing the necessary facilities for shipping companies.

Wow, I dont know how you guessed but I planted Sectoria a few hundred miles west of Australia so it might have some slight resemblence but its probably more of an accident but i suppose the map looks a bit like Australia.

    RE: Reply@sims co.

the thought emerged due to the plotted cities and the map itself. the bay by alta city comes close to my 'mental map' of the bayarea around adelaide, which would be alta city on your map. Furthermore the rest of your city arrangements is comparable to the australian design. staunton= perth, hassingway = kind of Darwin, brenton = Melbourne, arsenal = canberra or sydney and the aiport in the middle of the map assumes as alice springs. just an explanation of my fantasy 4.gif

hijodecordoba- You are very right about Sectoria looking like Australia! But it is just coincidence, thanks for your comment.48.gif

Q-Tips- I had no idea there was such a place called Alta,43.gif but i did name Brentford after a real place in West London, near where I live.9.gif

Krio- Yeah i probably should have started with the docks or a place other than "The city" but i suppose its easier to improve upon!

cleaner475- Thanks very much! You don't need to thank me for the comment43.gif I thank YOU for following mine since its start!

    Esterton

Because of the release of ILL Tonkso's "Sims co. financial services of Esterton" I have decided to skip ahead onto this district.

Esterton is the home of the regions largest station, most trains terminate here. During the population crisis of 1998, Virgin trains initiated a contract with the back then, very small railway network, since the contract, there has been a surplus of suburbs and the population crisis ended by distributing the population around the region. The station now see's around 243,000 people everyday on their way to and from work at the of the heart city.

    TrainStation1.jpg

    Station.jpg

    TrainStation2.jpg

Because of the excellent access routes now opened to the city, new business' have started to spring up, one of these is Sims co. which opened up its "Financial Services of Esterton" building quite recently. But they arn't the only ones who have moved in.

Thanks for the Sims co. building ILL Tonkso!

Very nice work! I like the port work very much, but the city itself is looking very well-constructed.

    Esterton: Part two

Although many people have moved to the suburbs, demand for inner-city homes are still on demand, this means very high property prices nearer to central Alta, why even the average terrace house is worth £170,000!

Esterton part one: you have set up a great scene with the sims co. building! pretty good

Esterton part two: your rowhouses are the way i define england's citiy's suburbs, but i don't like the street-house-street type. anyway its a great update.

    nice sunken avenue and embankment
