Is something wrong with the STEX?

I can probably tell that I am not the only one have this problem.
Basically, when I download a file from the STEX, it gets up to a random % and just stops and assumes that the download is finished, even though it's not.
When I try to open the unfinished file, it gives me the message that it is invalid/corrupted.
Note that usually this only happens with files over about 3 or 2mb. Usually, I can download files under 2mb just fine.
I checked the recent comments on a lot of items, and it seems theres a lot of people unable to download larger files from the STEX.
I have tried downloading the same files over and over (about 20 times) and still cannot get the larger ones to work. It's a shame because I really want them. I even tried to download from different computers (same connection though)
Can anyone clear this up for me? Is there a way to fix it? If not, it would be nice if someone can direct me to another simcity fansite with such exchanges like the STEX.

I just downloaded a 4.5mb bat, and everythig was right

to get around the problem re click the download button one click because it will restart the download where the download left off butt it will show up as a new download with a number in front of the file name.

I've had the same problem recently. I had try try to download the NAM about 7 times before I finally got the whole thing. It is happening with anything over 1 Mb for me.

Never happened until a week or two ago.

Had a similar problem yesterday when I tried to download some of Simgoober's stuff. I know that "three time 's a charm", but it is quite annoying to have to download the same file three times in order to get one workable file...

I have the same problem i can download it but then when i try to unzip it it says it isnt a valid archive and tells me to download again i do but that dosn't work

My problem is that alot of the files have dependencies, and the dependency files have been locked by the admins. What good is a BAT if it can't be used due to the locked dependency?

A lot of the files on the STEX are locked by the uploader.  There is no way to tell who locked it either because the message is the same regardless of whether or not it was locked by the uploader or a staff member.
