Issue with new NAM & Grid Background

After following the instructions carefully, uninstalling the Jan NAM and installing the new June NAM, it appears that the dark-bluish gridlines background to the city is now gone.  Instead, it is now pitch black.

This wouldn't be a problem, but now this is causing issues with the graphics.  When I move the screen to different parts of my city, it will blur things together.  I'm guessing that the background texture file was somehow removed.  I really don't know.  In the Region View it looks normal.

Can someone please help?, because it is making the game unplayable because everything is smearing/blurring across the screen as I move around my city.

Go to My Computer > C:\ > Program Files > Maxis > Sim City 4 > Plugins

If the images for that aren't in there, then there you have the problem.

Yeah that is the problem. I'm not sure what happened to those images. I tried reinstalling SC4 but it didn't put them back into the folder. Can someone send me those images? Perhaps post them here since they are just image files.

I guess you could just copy and paste them into:

Program files>Maxis>Sim City 4>Plugins folder

Not sure how the NAM could've done it...

Thank you so much! Now my game functions as normal!!

I think what is happened as I deleted them when "completely removing" the NAM.  And my recycle bin was emptied shortly after.
