WRONG. My way was not a problem for me, emptying would take too long. The new NAM pieces worked fine, and still do. NOT FOLLOWING DIRECTIONS WILL CAUSE PROBLEMS. I just moved files, so nothing gets replaced, just functional.

The old NAM was unistalled before I moved everything DUH! 2 won't work, and I would think cause a PC crash. I DIDN'T REPLACE NAM WITH NAM, I just meant, install the NAM into a new plugins folder fresh, with nothing else interfering. Its hard to tell what plugins will interfere, so that was the only way to go. It works for me. AND OBVIOUSLY RID THE OLD ONE.

Moving plugins was a lot harder, and takes longer. So I just renamed the junk, not interfering with the NAM. Once I had NAM working, I simply moved it. Later, I learned stuff with overides, z's, and ddl files, cause interference. But as it turned out, the RHW, not necessarilly 12, but the RHW in general does not seem to get along, and I'm talking with essentials, I think its the TEXTURE MOD CAUSING THE PROBLEM.

Those of you who cant figure out how to get the June NAM to work, goto the readme.  There is a VERY helpful tutorial within the readme.

Aznoverdrive,  I am sorry you are wrong.  The best way to install the June NAM is by using the BSC Cleanitol.  It will remove any outdated file you dont need.  That way you dont have to create a new folder and start moving things one by one as you are suggesting.  If you dont follow the readme you are just asking for things to go wrong.

For those who are wondering why RHW v12 and previous do not work properly.  SC4 has a central RUL system that allows textures to be overriden.  ANY new functional intersections, puzzle piece, networks like RHW, etc.  all make changes to the 3 central RULs.  So every time a new addition comes out that updates these 3 central RULs the NAM had to be updated or conflict would occur.  NOW, instead of updating the NAM we only have to update the NAM Essentials which contains these 3 central RULs.  If you have an outdated version the essentials file, which are in alot of old outdated mods like RHW v12 and earlier, then these mods will conflict with June NAM and will either cause the mod not to work or the latest pieces of NAM not to work.

azninoverdrive: Please cool down. There's no reason to get angry.

Btw, since we are on a new page, I think I'll repost this suggestion just in case anyone else is having a problem (my qoute from the first page):

Here's the file that was causing my error the whole time:

RHW-public-v012.dat

I don't suggest you delete it, but I do suggest that you at least search for it in your plugins and if you have it, you may want to remove it and see if it repairs your problems; however, I'm not sure what will happen if you remove that file, so don't blame me if you run into missing lots, etc. quote>

Hey, so just out of curiosity to see what your all beeching about, I tried azns method. Anyway, he was right, and wrong, but so was everyone who says cleanitol helps. It does not, at least if you need to BAT stuff. Thats whats I found. I had to do azns strategy too, not for NAM, but for BAT, I tried getting the updated gmax building names file, but still had serious bugs. But jeeze, guys "all 4" of you stop arguing all the damaged time. Also, the only problem with azns method is when I tried playing the game after his fix, was the NAM wouldn't work anymore, I only had the red arrows gone during his fix. After putting it back, the red arrows came back. Otherwise, his method was an answer and at least a temporary solution. But wasn't this post, how do I make a round a bout? I won't name names, but as soon as people started questioning about red arrows, and others answers not really helping, I think this whole thing not making sense anymore.
