DarkMatter: Road Top bus Stop

Before I download it and install it, is this for SC4 or for Rush Hour?

I know with the sim series there were many times when one needed an expansion pack to use items found on the web.

Your Post on the Download page hinted a tool booths which I figure is a RH thing.

Please let us know.

    Hmm Perhaps in future this should be made clearer in downloads?

    I am uncertain but perhaps lots will have this same issue, especially if they are using props that comes with RH - not everyone has RH you know.

    Yeah, the bus stop mod is for RH only. I'll update the name to show that, as well as the readme file. It uses new features added with RH (taken from the toll booth), which is why its only usable in RH. At first I didn't know if it was or not until someone tested it.

    Will this replace all existing bus stops or give you a new option?
     
    if it replaces them all, maybe a future version could make it have a smaller capacity, and leave the exiting version intack...
     
    if it already does all that then great !!! hehe22.gif

    This mod adds a new type of bus stop, leaving the old one in tact. It has an increased capacity to handle the load of beeing a road as well as a bus stop. If you have RH, it will show up under the mass transit menu as a new item. 1.gif

    Darkmatter, is it me or we can't zone right behind the bus stop? what I mean is, I have 7 wide residential 3 deep, I put the bus stop in the middle, and the car zot comes up. Should I be placing the stop on the side of the zone, and now the front? Please let me know. Thanks.

    I have run into the same problem, if this could be fixed it would be great because the way it is (not being able to zone behind the stop) makes it a waste for me. Not that im complaining its just the way i set up my zones.

    Yes, the NRZ is a problem. I think, if its solvable, it will be solved soon. There are like 5 people working on the problem right now. :D22.gif

    that would be really, cool, but if it cant be solved, its still a really cool tile.

    hmm, maybe another one with just a park bench and a bus sign???

    May I suggest if it's a street side bus stop, perhaps the image can be updated as well so it isn't the green roof bus stop anymore? Besides, I think as it is the bus stop looks like it sticks out onto the road.

    They're actually looking through the endless list of props to find signs and benchs et al. to replace the green roof. It's a big list, so it'll take time to find something they'd like to use...

    I got rid of the building this morning. I havn't found a suitable sign yet, other than the sign that you see on the corner of two streets that lists their names. It might work, I'll stick it in the lot and post a new version tonight. Its just a bench, two planters, and the sign now. 1.gif The new version I post tonight should also include an avenue-compatible version too, both with better icons than the current one.

    DM, any chance of you working on these a bit more? I'd love some better bus/underground stops without using the text.... and is there any chance we'll be able to plop these on the new rural roads? 2.gif

    i just downloaded this, and all i see is the text on the street. there are no stations or anything. is this what its supposed to look like? or am i missing something?
