If you only add one thing let it be the BAT (Building Architect Tool). But please let it work on Gmax as it does now. Most of us can not afford 3DS max and have spent a great deal of time getting the best we can from Gmax.

They should take the Society concept all the way since they're not going to make a realistic urban development game.  There should be elections, political parties, races, ethinc groups, religions, special interest groups, hate groups, street gangs and corruption. You should be able to write laws and have more control over enforcement and taxation.  There should be different types of governements and economic systems.   Military and war should be in the game too.

I can't belive the took zones away. I really want zones, unless they've come up with a better idea.

    Flexibility.

    1. Get rid of the grid and allow completely free-form road/rail/etc laying. Obviously there could still be a 'snap to grid option'. This would allow any angle and all sorts of new options (wide curves?).

    2. Layers, allow a number of layers. Perhaps ground, five different layers below ground and five above. This would greatly improve the flexibility of your transport network. For instance, you could have underground rail lines (not subway) with stations. Underground highway intersections would also be possible. Multiple subway lines could pass over/under each other without intersecting (or perhaps have stations on multiple layers allowing transfers).
