First, let me express my respect for several members of this community for urging calm and restraint when posting comments and opinions on the TM community forums. I trust that these outbursts are simply anomalies and that the SimCity community is highly mature and respectful.

I know that there has been a lot of heated discussion about displeasure with SCS and some extremely passionate angry remarks about "TM destroying SimCity." This is understandable given the immense devotion of the SimCity community, but I would like to kindly remind certain individuals that your community is not the only one that is being affected. There is also an active community at the TM forums and SCS concerns us as well as it means the following: 1) that we will be getting a new game after a curious period of secrecy [this is quite unusual for TM and is perhaps because they are in fact working with Maxis]; 2) with TM involved in this project, we are not getting our much-desired updates for Caesar IV or sequel to Children of the Nile.

As a longtime member of the TM community (and also a beta tester for their games), I can say that they often engage in dialogue with fans. As you can see on our forums, they frequently monitor our forums and share comments with our community. Also, I think that it would be most productive if our two communities can hold dialogue with each other. Of course, we may have very differing opinions, but I think we can develop better understandings about what we like and what we expect. Our community is willing to engage with yours. : - )

now that more infos getting out the game sounds better than i thought. im not mad anymore! i just hope that they fix the graphics.but you must understand what this is like.browse around our community. This is a game that we love and to see it change so much is tough....

I agree.

Sim City fans should be able to relate, since the Sims has taken all of Maxis/EA's attention away from Sim City.  The Sims is my mortal enemy, which I share with many other SC fans.

Yes, I've seen the works of your community members here. I've downloaded many of the fabulous Korean buildings here and I have the Network-Addon Mod installed. I've been playing SimCity since its first incarnation. : - )

Thankyou for posting and signing up here Ogedei, I will admit that you did not find us at our best - but I can assure that such behaviour is not the usual standard of this website or community! Yesterday, was rather strained, to put it mildly, but I think that most of our members here are starting to come around with open minds now! Anyways, welcome and we're glad to have you here!
