PM cannot read my BAT model file

i've just rendered my BAT, and successfully exported into model file(1.38MB). But when i use PM, it cannot read my model file. then, i use reader to read it, and it can. I think there is no error occur in my BAT model file. I dont know what should i do. Re-render it again? i dont hope so......

What happens when you try to read the model?  Can the PM even see it?  How big is your plugin folder?  Does it have a lot of stuff directly under the Plugins main folder?

As a guess, try moving all other stuff out of your plugins folder, temporarily.  This is a darned big model, and you may have overflowed the PM's buffer.

yah, PM cannot see it.... i've tried to move out my plugin (2GB) and let my model file stay there. but PM still cannot read/detect it....

untill now, i've rendered 3 times of the same model.... but the file cannot be read the file (1.34MB).

for a test, i randered another model, and PM can detect the model files(480KB).....

Possible that the model is just too big.  Any way you can break it into a main model and some props?

What is the title of the model file? If the title contains any non letter or number characters, the PM might not be able to recognize it. All you have to do is rename the file, both externally, and internally, with the Reader or similar tool.

oh yes..... the tittle is named A&P.... maybe the "&" cause this problem.... i'll render it once more....

note: but i'm always use number in my BAT, and it can be read by PM..... maybe it's because of the special character, like "&", it cause the problem....

Aha!  The special characters like & mean something to most command processors.  I would avoid the following:

& ampersand, bitwise and

&&  logical and

| or bar, bitwise or

|| logical or

^ exclusive or, exponent

. member operator

Most other special characters.  Stick with letters and numbers, and don't make the first character a number.l

Oh, and from experience, the ST Exchange does not take kindly to the letter Z
