I've downloaded cogeo's road-top mass transit( https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/index.cfm?id=13510 )

I extracted it on my plugin folder, then got into the game and tried using it: all I got were big brown boxes.. they work, but look extremely ugly.. I tried downloading themes, like the UK or german one, but still got those brown boxes..

does anyone know how to solve my problem?

thanks in advance

Cogeo's wonderful RTMT lots do require a bit of costumizing upon installing. Be sure to check the Readme. If that was done, be sure to check for dependencies. Some of the options require other files. Hope you get them going.

You can also try the Installer Version. The plugins included are the same, but it's much easier to install. There are two preconfogured sets of props, which should be OK for most players, but if you want something special you should go manually. Or you can use one of the presets, and modify the installation as you wish (add, remove or replace props and/or textures). Check the documentation for details, as well as placement tips.

wow, thanks a lot cogeo, that installer was much simpler.. even tho I only downloaded it after I had success installing it manually '-.-

anyways congrats on your RTMT, its simply amazing, it was just like what i was looking for, it sucks losing 2 tiles(subway/bus) to mass transit on a high density only avenue ;D

    simply amazing

hi cogeo, i think your rtmt mod is going to be really cool, as soon as i get rid of those brown boxes.  i'm having so much trouble.  i've downloading so many different things, hoping each one will be what i need to get rid of the brown boxes.  when i go to use a rt bus stop, for example, i can see some of it, like the bus stop and the road, but there's something else, one other thing, that causes the single brown box to appear.  i've downloading many things, like the bsc textures, bsc mega packs, the nam, the sam, rtmt v350, v360, and i've read the read me files and i'm putting things in the right folders.  any help would be much appreciated.  phillip

    Hi phillipjohnmc,

As Cathy mentioned in her very helpful post, brown boxes are usually caused by missing dependencies. If you're using the manual install version of 3.50, be sure to read the instructions carefully. If all seems to get too over-whelming, you could try the installer version of 3.50. There would not be any dependencies, and it would allow you to get started at least. From there you could use the customizeable version after becoming familiar with the files.

As for your post... It is a good idea to only post once for your issue. Posting the same issue in different forums can lead to confusing results. Also, this thread was a very old, and it is not recommended to 'bump' older threads. Please use the 'New Topic' tab to start a new thread to post your question.

Thanks for your help.  I restarted the v350 installer program and only installed the main program and the single prop program.  That seemed to do the trick.  I had installed all three, so that was the problem.  Many thanks.
