Ok lets get down to buisness here is Kalstien my next town further up river from Gansner

This shows the road into the town and the forest it goes through

This is part of the origanal town built on the bend for maxinum defence

This is the centre of the town where most of the offices are

Overview of the town and surronding area

This shows some farming and the pleasure lake and forest around it There is a nature trail thorugh the forest and around the lake. Just goe to one of the huts

This shows some of the industry and suburbs and the christmas tree farm

This is now the main part of the town built of out the peninsula where there  is more room for expansion and its closer to the industry

The industrial estate and landfill including the recycling centre. the inhabitants are very eco freindly

Very nice use of solar power! Love the forests a around them...and thse bridges add a nice touch. oh,a nd a sig is a link to this cj in my signature, so more people can see it. WHaterver you say. Oh, and those towns are nice too, I love rural. Fantastic!

another great update...do i spy the creation of a city in the last two updates??? i like the town on the penninsula...and how youre putting trees inbetween the farms...maybe ill show some farming in my next update lol...now why would the town need defence?? wait is that defense or some word i dont know lol??? something secret your working on perhaps???

As Amerikaner stated above the trees between the farms are a nice touch. The island and penninsula towns are the best so far.

About the farms some farms only appear on certain sized lots. Plus make sure you have the (sometimes) massive list of dependancies because if you skip a few it may not work out too good.

Nice follow -up. I like the layout of the town and they way you have used the streets for the main routes only. This gives the area a more rural feel with all the roads.

In the last date IMHO I think the farms look a lot better, hope you agree.

One hint if I may, the river bridges actually conduct electricity so as long as there is a powered lot or electricity pylon at either end, you don't need to run wires across the river.

OK guys to keep you updated here is my next update it's very short as this town didn't take long to do so enjoy next update will be sunday as on saturday I'm off to see the Who!!!!!!!!!!!!

This town hasn't really got a name but is in the Ubone Estuary. Thats the name of the river by the way. Oh yes it has about 5000 people living there.

This shows a train coming in to the station in the centre of town. Most of the inhabitants commute by train to Gansner as thats where most jobs are.

An overview of the town. Notice the farms are a bit run down. This is because not enough people want to work on farms now. Also notice the bridge which I think works perfectly with the area. Oh yes if you want some more variety in your low density residental I reccemend you get the dutch farmer house as these are colourful and add so much more character to an area

Ok lastly a region view. To the right of Ubone estaury will be my largest town and you will hopefully see that on sunday.

Amerikaner: You spy to large towns interconnecting but nothing more yet. The defence part was something I learnt in Geography. Hundreds of years ago there lots of tribes in Britian and they didn't really like eachother. On a peninsula theres only one side to defend but say on a river bank there a 3 sides. Didn't mean to confuse and I was trying to add some history to my cj

Hello my friends this may not be Sunday but I have finished my largest city yet Belsiare. About 80,000 sims live here. Its the capital of the region at the moment.

So lets get started:

This shows the railway going through the city with a train just pulling into the station

A train leaving the station and the police station and main fire station top right hand corner

The university of Belsiare surronded by hi tech industry. Lots of the students are from around the region and most end up in the hi tech industry around the univeristy. Theres also a college in the city and the average IQ is 130

This is where the royal family used to live and now Parliment use it as their headquarters

This man made island was made when the less and less room was available for the city centre

OK guys I now know my plan for the next few weeks. I need to fill in a gap where some farming can go in Ubone Estuary and Im going to expand eastwards from Belsiare But anyway heres a pic of the region transport map and a pic unruined by lines and city names. By the way the population of the region is about 100,000 sims. The last pic is the area I'm expanding into

Does anyone know the program name and links so that you can see a pic of the whole region. I would really appreciate this and feel it will enhance the cj as it becomes bigger

neato i LOVE how this is coming together...lol i see about the defence part now hmm didnt know that but anyway the parliment building was cool, actuall fit i can never find a spot i like with it so i never use it lol

go to sim city cental and there is a program you can download called region census and there you can get pics of the whole region

What a morning to wake up to the new NAM its so exciting draggable GLR thats going to be so cool!!!!!!!! I will be experimenting with it in the next couple of days so it may take a while to see the next update

And this is Shefford a small village outside Kalstien

This is a region view and you can see Sandit which I will show you now

This shows the outer part of Sandit and it shows a lot of hi tech indusrty and the college there

The pleasure pond with the centre of the town around

A train going pust the landfill site. Trees were put in front of the railway so that residents can't see the landfill as well

The amphitheatre and beach behind it

An overview of the town. Theres an extenisve bus system here

Lastly a picture of the town centre and the inner town housing. Note one of the town centre streets is pedestianised with a bus stop at each end

very nice pics there my friend - please give me a link to that water mod you used - its looks spectacular! - good idea of covering tha landfill makes the area look nicer with it hidden behind trees -

heres a tip - hide the control panel when taking pics for your CJ it gives a better less crowded image.

Those trees are the PEG seasonal trees. I took the pic in spring I think. You can find them in the exchange
