Hardware city restrictions

On my old laptop and on my desktop before it got more RAM, my cities would top out at about 20k. Then it would stay there and not grow new zones, or old houses would abandon and the new zones would grow in a few game years.

Now the same thing's happening but at 40k.

I think this is because of the amount of RAM I have. With 512 Mb, the computer could only handle 20k. With a Gb of RAM, now I can get up to 40k.

But what about the guys with similar computers and huge metropolises?

RAM would not cause that problem. It has to do with caps that each of your wealth types encounters. Try to plop parks and other things to relieve residential caps.

Oh, I didn't think of that. Maybe that's it... But demand's still very high.
