I'm surprised no one has posted a gaming thread on the two new pokemon versions!

anyone have this version? past versions? has anyone actually taken the time to capture all the pokemon? what are your feelings about the multi-billion dollar franchise?

First off, the games are awesome! Second off, I bought a new DS just to play them on! And third, well, the games are still awesome! I've almost beaten Pearl and recently started Diamond. Pretty soon, I'll trade between them! I was originally going to completely beat one of them, and use the other as a "feeder", feeding me things that could only be gotten in the other game. TopCliff

Reserved a copy of Diamond at K-Mart... it's a pretty good game, and like most Pokemon games, very very addicting for the first month or so of gameplay. I haven't beaten the game, but have played for a total of 45 hours and have had to charge my DS about 7 times in the 3 weeks that I've had the game. Lots of great things in the game, lots of stuff that they should have included/left out but overall it's probably my favorite Pokemon RPG to date.

Topcliff: Great to see that there are still some hardcore gamers out there! About getting the other version, I might do that too, then that way I have something to keep me occupied for a while after I get bored with Diamond. Plus, of course you can trade so that's a big incentive to get the other version. But then there's always plenty of other things to play, like SC4, and other things to do as well. And then you never know when they will come out with a remake of a past version, or when a new version like Emerald/Crystal/Yellow will come out.

I see where this thread is going to go... downhill. Hopefully I'm wrong.

God, how many pokemon are there now? 10,000? lol anyone who actually tries to "catch 'em all" nowdays must have no life.

of course, those of us who train a level 100 lapras to kick elite ass(ice>dragon), we're normal...

Anyways, I want to see some screenies. Is it the same pokemon they had back in the day? Still a quest to go from town to town and fight gym battles or have they finally found a new formula?

yes, it's still a quest from town to town...but with better graphics.

I remember the days when there were 150 (I guess 151 with Mew) pokemon. Back in the day of red and blue version, those were the days... The latest version I've owned was yellow which is pretty old. I remember that I had every Pokemon on Red version but when I went back to check it out a year ago they weren't there. Must have accidently deleated them somehow...

I like the original pokemon way better than all other versions combined. There were only 150 pokemon, Kadabra was #64, Sabrina was the Saffron City gym leader, and that's all I remember.

i think i had some pokemon games for gbc looooong ago, i think it was a good game but it WAZ a good game no way i would play that now...

am i wrong?
