Pics work fine in Firefox.

I think you are pushing the "Aboriginals unaware of European settlement", but its nice to confound the Americans.

Road trains are as far as I know actually "trains" i.e. 5-15 trailers on the back of a truck...Bad luck for the kangaroos.

    G'Day all,

Thanks for all the help, but I'm doing EVERYTHING right I swear. The pics appear for me as I'm writing the reply, but when I post them I can't see them! Below is the link that I copy and paste, and for some stupid reason, at the end of the link it says .png, but I have converted my pics jpg by changing the extension! Let me know what's wrong and I can re-post the pics for all the IE people.

Sardonic Arbiter - You are definately an Aussie, that's good to see. I personally agree with your point about the European settlement part, but like I said, "It's rumoured". Also, I know trucks can carry that kind of load (5 - 15 trailors), but I don't think that's road legal 4.gif However, you are probably right in saying that there are trucks out there that carry more than 3 trailors. Good comment!

    Thanks again everyone

Try setting up a new folder called Journal in "My Documents". Then open up the folder Simcity4\albums\cityname. Click on one photo to open up the imageviewer. Using the save button at the bottom of the, viewer save as a jpg to your journal folder. Then from imageshack upload the jpg from your new folder.

It's good that the pictures are working on Firefox, however, the majority of Simtropolis users have IE. I want everyone to see the pics not just a select few. I'm frustrated because the pics are definately jpeg, but the link that I cut and copy from Imageshack has .png at the end (refer to link in previous post).

jacqulina, all I am doing is taking the pics straight from simcity (which is png by default), then changing the extension to jpg by renaming it. However when I upload them onto imageshack they say it's png, which is why i think IE users can't see them. What is this pic converter you are talking about, because whatever I'm doing doesn't seem to be working at all . . .

By looking at some of the images via the links, I can say it's a good start for your CJ but take the advice for linking. Do use ImageShack. It is the best, easiest to use and most reliable image hosting website on the net. I use it whenever I need to put a image on the net. Even if the site i'm on has it's own facilities. I can't stress enough to read Max's (Chocolate Max 285 I mean) City Journal Startup Guide which features a step by step process from uploading images to ImageShack to placing them in your posts.

By the way, I think you need work on your themeing. There is some Aussie style house packages on the STEX which can give your city a more outback Aussie feel. At the moment, it looks like New York with grotty roads (or in other words mis-matched or uneven). They don't blend in with one another. Can't wait to see some progress later on.

Oh yeah, I'm an Aussie from Melbourne. Thought you would like to know!

BTW, you can't just change the extension to .jpg you need to change it in a software program. I use paint.net All you need to do is resave them in jpg format and you are good to go.
