so... I just got me simcity mobile, just for the fun of it, and it looks totally different from what the screenshots available show.

it looks (and handles) more like sc classic than the isometric graphic the screenshots show, like in sc2000.

cool idea nevertheless, and the right thing to get over boring lessons or long travels... as long as the battery runs

anybody else got simcity mobile? what are your impressions?

i was on my mobile phone internet just looking for a game to download and i came across sim city it looks like a remake of sim city 2000 but has the original sim city uses like power plants maps and placing the res com and ind to build your cities got to work it out when i do i will place more here

sorry for the double post but i forgot to put the network and price to download sim city for mobile the network i have is o2 don't know if avalablie on any other network and price is £5.00 to buy

well...

5 pounds is even more than it costs here in germany.

the cheapest is us with like 3 dollars or 4.

it's 5 euros in germany.

but, after a while of playing it...

it's really nothing else but a nice thing to bridge long travels or other boring things.

the whole layout is similar to sc classic, same for the graphics, but it offers only 11 maps.

but the gameplay is... stupid, to be honest.

it starts right away with power.

you have the choice between a heat powerplant (maybe coal, dunno) and a nuclear powerplant.

I've chosen the latter, and for a city with 300k ppl, you have to build 6 or 7 nuclear powerplants.

then, traffic, is like, you only need one tile of road to get a zone developped, no closed traffic network needed, and sometimes zones develop even without beeing directly connected to a transit network

then you can build your town like you are used to if you've ever played sc classic (in my case, it looks like the games graphics are different depending on the type of cellphone it's played on) but at a certain number of inhabitants, you can't supply them with enough industrial. I had a certain amount of industrial, and doubled them (with no changes to residential and commercial) and still the demand was on top level. the balance was r:c:i = 2:1:2 almost.

then, you start building parks all over the place and replace the streets with rails, what actually works despite of realism, and there's nothing but messages about the inhabitants being concerned about pollution...

just for fun I demolished all industry and replaced it with commercial zones, so there was actually no pollution left, but ppl were still concerned about pollution...

soooo, long story short, the game is fun for a while, but it starts to give a crappy feeling after a while.

it fun for hardcore sc4 players, but if you want cellphone games just 4 fun, you'd do better putting the money into other games...

I've just installed the game on my phone, and it runs a bit.... slow. I've got a w200i, and I couldn't find the target platform on EA web.
