Strange Background

The background on my cities when I play is black, when the background on loading and the region is still the purplish grid, can anyone help me with this, did I install a mod wrong, or maybe something with the simcity.com4 updates?

Yup. Simply enough, you didn't replace all 6 of 7 or how many there were. Go back to the backround folder and replace all of the grid backrounds with whichever backround you want.

Or, you can reinstall the game (back stuff up first ) to get the good ol' griddy thing back.

This is my mind - you must have Background files (from # 3D0 - to 3D4) - may be from Maxis or anything another in your disk C: Programs Files\Sim City 4 ... \ Plugins and no more - NOT FOLDER or SUBFOLDER !!!

I put them all in a folder with the rest of the network addon mod but then why would only that one not show up?

If I'm understanding your question...

Are you asking why the region background doesn't change when using different background files? If so, I don't think the background files in the Program Files/SimCity/Plugins will change the region view. Those five files determine the city backgrounds only.
