Simtropolis County

[Nexis 1]

This county is called Simtropolis Because all the Mayor's are member's.  So far i have to major cities  South Street Seaport and Southern port.  I will use ever major member in this project. here's a couple of quick shots.

A new cj, and i am the first to post after the initial post, i feel special, anywyas the region looks nice, but what is happening to Oahu?

This city is mosty Ndex Bat city.  the city is seperated by a river.  downtown has tall skyscapers and small shops.  Condos rule the residential zone.

Hey Nexis!

A region called Simtropolis was suggested last week in this post.

I like it when some members become mayors or residents in a cj but it's usually only big fans of the cj, Nexis of Genesis being just one example...

Please think this over one more time.

this looks like a real nice city.

This town is along the Simtropolis Bay.  this pretty looking town.  with all the shops and stories ST route 134.  the Industrial port is huge.  Ill Tonkso railway starts here with four stations in the city itself.  There is only hi-rise apartment in the city.  St. Bisonm's churh is on the northern outstriks of the city.  There Nexis of Genisis heath culbs were flown in form Nexis of Genisis.

Nexis, u didnt listen to my advice that i gave on ur Oahu region, because this city is just as ugly as Oahu was.  Like i was saying, anyone can plop a downtown, but people seem to be more interested in CJ's where downtowns are formed, not plopped in the middle of nowhere.

First, please consider hosting your images off site.  See my sig for the link to ImageShack.

Secondly, I think you need to slow down and enjoy the evolution of a city.  Take your time and have fun with it.  Force yourself to build it until it is right.  You can build, tear down and build again if you want.  Remember we aren't about seeing who can get their city built the fastest.

 

You have a really good region there....Work it slowly....

Some constructive criticism: you street layout is good, nice and urban griddy.  I'd throw in a diagonal road/avenue if I were you just to spice things up a tad.  It breaks up the monotony and makes your city just a unique as any city journal around.

Yes!! Work slowly!!!!!! Develop it a little. Have fun! Starting new journals every week is not a good thing. Get rid of your low class sims and develop a middle class. Don't make it griddy, and update some of your streets to roads!!

Slow it down! You have a great region there to develop!

Ok, slow down! Who's ever seen low class houses next to Saint Paul's cathedral? The downtown is too nowhere and the city is getting worse. SLOW DOWN

This next city called joronij City.  it's population around 18,000.  the sim goober mall is here.  along with best buy and a strip mall.   two lighthouses stand off the coast in the Arbor ocean.  the Members turnpike runs through the city.  three toll booths are on the turnpike.

I have to say, looking at the stuff at the start and the new stuff, this looks a million times better.  A grid is good, natural, but try to avoid the auto-gridding tool if you can.  Also, some parks will do wonders.

this next city is called Aabor ocean.  every day traffic lines up at border crossings to go Jeronij city.  the city has a memorial decated to the people who died on the Graystone ferry.  there is a small airport here.  The members expressway runs next to the city.
