The custom content is... simply amazing. I have never seen so much attention to detail in SC2000.

Hi, mjig_dudy

Real thanks with your CJ named with SC2000 label !!!

I don't know about custom objects SC 2000 - this is very interesting ....

But this is retro - may be SC0 or SC 3000 ???

Simtropolis is for SC4 or for SC0, SC2000, SC3000 - I think SC0, SC2000 and SC3000 must bring whole section .....

For all of those inquiring, custom content is available in SC2000. Maxis released a "Special Edition" that has a Building Architect Tool called the Urban Renewal Kit which was then little more than a glorified Paint-like graphics editor. This BAT would allow a user to save a tileset that can replace the standard in-game buildings. This special edition release also included several tilesets created by fans, and there were subsequently many more fan-generated tilesets created over the years. a simple Google search for SC2K Tilesets reveals all!

I never much liked how the color palette was limited to 256 colors, but hey, that was the technology of the time. I must say that the tilesets here are very well done, especially the Roman one with the farms.

Cool! I miss that sort of style, hopefully SC5 will use it again.

I have all of the Simcity games, except 2000. Kinda makes me think there's an emptiness--a void--inside me.

Wow, first time I've ever seen SC2000. It doesn't look half bad, actually. I don't know how you did what you did, but it looks good, albeit cartoony, but I'm sure that's not your fault. 3.gif
