How's about some parliament, congress or senate buildings. Some historical/government style buildings. And St. Peter's Basilica.

SM is the biggest Mall chain in the Philippines (maybe one of the biggest in the world, it has 27 malls (excluding their non mall department stores and supermarkets) in the philippines and 2 malls in china (the owner having its roots from china)

SM stands for ShoeMart, since SM started out as a shoe store on the 50's but expanded later to department stores and eventually, supermalls (its first was the 250,000+ sqm) SM CIty North EDSA)

I actually like this building... I might actually attempt this in sketchup and convert it to a 3DS. It looks like a relatively easy floor plan, simple core... it actually shouldn't take all that much time. I'll might need a little help with texture's though, I'm hopeless when it comes to that 9.gif

Although, I'd make the base a retail podium... I think that would be nice to have a good mix of commercial office and commercial service in this building.

I'll see if I get time to try it 4.gif

There should be a rule here that you can't request buildings that don't exist yet.

There isn't going to be a rule like that, but there is a rule stating how large an image can be.  Remember everyone, if it's over 800 pixels wide by 600 pixels tall, I'll come in and hack the offending images out of your post.

LivingInThePast: it would be very silly rule indeed!
I would suggest another rule, NOT TO QUTE PICTURES!!!
People, please, be sensitive and sensible!
I would agree and disagree with Powlie on the Manitoba Hydro tower.

It is very interesting piece but to model it to bring all the way to the game wouldn’t be easy at all… Building is pretty much all glass, and glass is a material very difficult if not impossible to recreate with GMAX with any degree of plausibility. If anything it would require very considerate texture making skills. So if you say that you not good at it at all, probably better to look for a project elsewhere, because if you take the material away from this design you'll be left with pretty much nothing...

Well bat makers make bats in their leisure time and that tends to mean they do what they feel like. Posting a bat request is a faint hope that a bat maker might see it and be inspired to make your request into their leisure time. There is no team working to satisfy requests and requests are simply requests only. The conclusion is, if you really want a bat and haven't gotten a response, instead of taking it personally go break out the bat and start reading the tutorials. Start a thread in the workshop thread when you're done reading to get feedback from others. In a few months you can end up being a solver of your own requests because at the end fo the day, doing it yourself is the only real guarantee.

I hope this is inthe right forum, as well as I hope this hasn't already been requested.....If so then please ignore this.

I would love to see the Wainwright Building on the stex.

Many of you probably know about it but for those who don't the building is located in St. Louis, MO.  It was one of the first modern skycrapers built with an all steel frame built back in 1891.

The building has great detail & would be a great addition to the Stex.

Here are some pictures.

Hey, I've started playing SC4 again, and I stumbled across this website. Some very cool stuff on here btw 4.gif.I was wondering if someone would fancy a challenge.

I was wondering if someone could make me a football (soccer) stadium. The team i would like someone to do is "Nottingham Forest", their stadium is called "the city ground". and has a capacity of just over 30,000.

Bit of Forests background

3rd oldest club in the world.(founded in 1865)

Currently top of League 1

Double European cup winners

Revolutionised football: including the addition of football nets, flood lights, whistles, shin pads, also the 1st team to put their teams lettering in the stands.

Hello Everyone,

I have been working trying to learn the BAT (i'd rather learn than resort to request anyway), and through my episodes with the BAT, i found it quite easy to learn and use. Now, it seems very overwhelming at first, but just mess around with it, and i think everyone is perfectly capable of figuring it out, making this thread useless. Even the most computer impaired (such as myself) could figure it out, and i'm sure BATters would would rather listen to someone actually trying to learn the BAT, compared to people making demands of them. So, give it a try folks! who knows where it could lead?

**Steps off Soapbox**

-Frankie

EDIT: editted for grammar, and to say, that these request are just wasting time, no one is really gonna make these, unless you are lucky enough to find a BATter of the same interest.

In a reversal of roles, I like to use the requesters for inspiration (rather than them use me for design).

Because people always want their favorite buildings BATted, and because everyone's favorites are for different reasons, you get a pertty good overview of architecture from the world. It's great for finding inspiration to build buildings.

And they always post multitudes of pictures, which makes research easy.

It doesn't have to be all give-give 4.gif

it would be cool if somebody built a strip mall, mall or individual store that had regular american stores like american eagle, puma, nike, baskin robins, abercrombie and fitch, hot topic, sharper image, gap, or apple? it might add some familiarity to the american style cities in simcity, though im sure they could go with other style cities too.

I am working on a Boston, MA, USA re-creation. I have never worked with BAT before and as such I am not up to the task, nor do I have the time to do a lot of custon bats for the Boston area. The city really is sorely missing one of its most disticnt skyscrapers, the prudenital center. The center actually has 2 tall towers, the primary one:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prudential_Center

and the secondary one. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/111_Huntington_Avenue

They could be made in the same complex (there is a mall at the bottom connecting them) or just as the towers, and well I could get by with only the primary one. If someone wants to work on these I would be very appricative. Given time I can provide custom photos of the buildings if you can't find angles you need online.

I will be posting a city journal of my recreation once I get it to a point that I like. So far downtown proper is mostly done, but I won't feel it is compleat until I get the first ring of suburbs (cambrdige, somerville, charleston, allston, brighton, south boston ect... ) done.

you guys have been doing a very good job, but i would appreciate the US Bank Tower in LA, the new freedom tower that has already begun construction, and a domed baseball field... those would be tight

Domed Baseball stadium, any one, doesn't have to be a real life stadium(retractable roof when playing would be awesome):

I'm wondering if anyone has attempted the Smith&Young (TowerLife) Building in SanAntonio, TX.  I'd love to see it done. It one of the earliest skyscrapers west of the Mississppi. It looks hard to do, but is really attractive. It's two tone in color with functional gargoyles protruding from around the uppermost floors. I have a pic of a SCURK (remember that?) that someone did of it. Thanks in advance; I 'll put a link at the bottom to a page with closeups of the gargoyles.
