problems with SC4 (mac Version) crashing

I have been playing Sc4 with the RH expansion pack for about a year now with it occasionally crashing. recently it is crashing so much that it is unplayable, i cant even load a region or city without it crashing. does anybody else have this problem? or better still a solution?

Try isolating your plugins one at a time. It's time consuming but it works.

Try a wipeout and re-install. Also run the Disk utility and check permissions.

Agreed. But in order:

Repair permissions first.

Back-up your plugins, erase SC4, and reinstall second.

If all else fails, search your plugins. I had to do this once. In my experience, it works best if you isolate at least 10 at a time. It helps you narrow down the offending file much more quickly.

Thanks for the suggestions tried them all but they didnt work. I might try reinstalling my OS.

i'm having a simular issue, while i've had some problems with sc4, and other games i've tried to play, most have stopped, however, sc4 is unplayable, it crashes after the first mouse click, anywhere. I've reinstalled, and havent added my old plugins yet.

please someone save me this game is basically my life

What Mac do you have?

Uninstall SC4, and seach the entire machine for asypr - look for the plist files for SC4 and delete them, too. Then try reinstalling and see if it runs at all on a new city - don't load any old citys and see if it works.

I'm working fine using the Beta UB patch on a MacBookPro.
