Load region ? directly from STEX ?

You just have to download a SC4M file, look for NHP at STEX and follow the map installation instructions. There is also great non NHP SC4M files at STEX, but a good placed advertisement is always welcomed

I would try some of your awesome-looking maps if it didn't take me 6 hours to render them

Yes, unfortunately maps can take a long time to load, and just like other aspects of SC4, can be hardware intensive!

However, there are smaller maps available (2x2 large tiles for example) on the STEX that would take very little to render. Remember, all you really have to do is open a city tile, then save & exit. You can open a few tiles, play those tiles, and open more when you are ready to do so.
