Police keep striking

I think I might have done something to upset the game...

The funding for the police in one of my cities is up at  full, now, it should stay there but instead it keeps falling to $0 on its own for no reason... causing the police to strike.

Could it be a plugin causing this? I've had this sort of thing happen before with power plants... I just removed the last few plugin i had downloaded and it stopped. Then again, I don't think it could be plugins... what caused this in the first place was me messing around with the funding so I could start fires.

If anyone has any ideas what the heck is up, i'd like to hear it... its driving me crazy trying to finish my CJ update with this happening.

this problem can occure with any civic building (police , fire, hospital, schools)

1 of  two things have happened a: you added an improperly modded building to your game recently and used in the city. 1 known problem is improperly modded radius of the particular type of civic lot (this case it's a police station of some sort) but not always confined to just a police station...could be in fact a multi purpose lot that has been modded to included police patroling or crime reducing stats

B: you saved the city with a type of lot (mentioned above), but it is no longer in your plugins folder...when this happens the game can't find the civic lot gets confused and makes the funding drop to zero (sometime can crash your game)...in this case look on your crime view and look for lots that show up there, but don't appear correctly in reagular view

both cases you  will need to find the lot if your to save the city (which is a 50-50 % chance at best that it can be saved at all) and different methods of trying, depending on the actual cause

now the fun part is trying to find the particular lot in question...many different methods ... i suggest looking at recently added or modded lots...hope it's in there. after that...theres several ways to try and find this lot....but most require a bit of time and patients ... a lot if you don't have a well organized plugins folder go with the recent added lots and get back to us if that cures the problem before having to jump to tearing a plugins folder apart

this is due to a plugin that was modded wrong or has "secret" tendencies, as mentioned above. i suggest backing up the city tile, then removing your plugins folder and see if this fixes it. if so, find the lot by using the dates modified and start from the most recent.

    Thanks guys, I sorted out my plug-ins and it didn't help... so I proceeded to destroy parts of the city. I loaded up a larger City and the police were fine, so I gathered it was a pretty isolated bug.

    When I destroyed the entire west side of the city, the police funding seemed to stay put... so im just going to go about destroying all the possible buildings that could be causing it.

    .::EDIT::.

    Solved it... It seemed to be some random piece of  parking lot causing the problem... strange.
